Uruguay readies offshore wind licence for green H2 production
乌拉圭国有能源公司Ancap可能很快会授予四个近海区块生产绿色氢气的特许权，因为该国正努力将自己定位为“全球出口国”。
Uruguay’s state-owned energy company Ancap may soon grant concessions on four offshore blocks to produce green hydrogen as the country seeks to position itself as a “global exporter.”

The plan is to install enough wind farms to produce 200,000 tonnes per year of green hydrogen per block.

Ancap will need to obtain final permission from the government to issue the concessions. There is no timeline yet, although the approval is “in process,” according to a statement released last week.

The blocks will be located 50 kilometres from the coast, southeast of the town of José Ignacio,Kallanish understands.

According to a roadmap published in July, Uruguay has to build 18 gigawatts of renewable energy and 9 GW of electrolysers to produce 1 million t/y of green hydrogen by 2040.
该公司计划在未来几年内开发首批试点项目，在本十年末达到1吉瓦的氢气生产能力。
It plans to develop its first pilot projects over the next couple of years to reach 1 GW of hydrogen production capacity by the end of the decade.
