Eramet kicks off production at Argentina lithium plant
Kallanish（开阑商务信息咨询）报道，法国矿业公司Eramet在阿根廷Centenario工厂实现首次碳酸锂生产。
French miner Eramet has achieved first lithium carbonate production at its Centenario plant in Argentina, Kallanish reports.
该工厂位于萨尔塔省，年产2.4万吨电池级碳酸锂，足够每年供应60万辆电动汽车。这是Eramet第一家采用其在阿根廷开发的专有直接锂提取（DLE）技术的工厂。
Located in Salta Province, the facility has a production capacity of 24,000 tonnes/year of battery-grade lithium carbonate, enough to supply 600,000 EVs annually. It is Eramet’s first plant to implement its proprietary direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology, which was developed in Argentina.
Eramet在7月宣布开始在该项目一期采用DLE技术，估计耗资8.7亿美元。
In July, Eramet announced the start of its DLE technology at the project’s Phase 1, estimated to have cost $870 million.
该集团总裁兼首席执行官Christel Bories称，这一“关键里程碑……将使Eramet成为首家以工业规模生产碳酸锂的欧洲公司”。
According to the group’s president and ceo, Christel Bories, this “key milestone… will place Eramet as the first European company to produce lithium carbonate at an industrial scale.”
她补充说：“2025年，我们将提高工厂的产量，力争成为全球锂可持续生产的主要参与者。”
“In 2025, we will ramp up production at the plant, aiming at becoming a key global player in the sustainable production of lithium,” she adds.
在以6.99亿美元的价格收购中国合作伙伴的股份之后，这家矿商于10月份获得对该设施的完全控制权。此前，青山集团拥有Eramet在阿根廷的子公司Eramine Sudamerica 49.9%的股份。
The miner gained full control of the facility in October, after buying out its Chinese partner for $699 million. Tsingshan Group previously owned a 49.9% stake in Eramine Sudamerica, Eramet’s subsidiary in Argentina.
据估计，Centenario项目拥有1,500万吨碳酸锂当量（LCE），支持7.5万吨/年LCE的长期生产能力。Eramet正计划建设第二座加工厂，以增加3万吨/年的产能。
The Centenario project is estimated to hold 15m t of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE), supporting a long-term production capacity of 75,000 t/y of LCE. Eramet is planning a second processing plant to add an extra 30,000 t/y of capacity.
