Bangladesh scrap buyers resist higher offers

With recent price increases in Turkey and India, sellers have been unwilling to reduce offers to Bangladesh, while bids remain lower given high inventories and sluggish rebar sales, notes Kallanish.

Offers for Australia/Brazil-origin HMS (80:20) scrap are at around $365-370/tonne cfr Chattogram, with bids at $350/t, while shredded scrap offers are at around $385-390/t and bids are lower by $10-15/t.
迪拜一位废钢贸易商评论道：“孟加拉国的废钢需求缓慢。政府在基础设施方面的支出有限、钢厂的废钢库存充足以及螺纹钢价格下跌都是造成这种情况的原因。随着印度的需求增长，我们更加关注印度市场。”
A Dubai-based scrap trader comments: “Scrap demand is slow in Bangladesh. Limited government spending on infrastructure, ample scrap inventories at mills, and falling rebar prices are all contributing factors. With demand growing in India, we are focusing more on the Indian market.”
在达卡，螺纹钢价格徘徊在77,000-78,000孟加拉塔卡/吨（644-653美元/吨）左右，而在吉大港，出厂价为81,000-82,000孟加拉塔卡/吨。
In Dhaka, rebar prices are hovering at around BDT 77,000-78,000/t ($644-653/t), while in Chattogram, they stand at BDT 81,000-82,000/t ex-works.
与此同时，亚洲开发银行批准一笔1亿美元的贷款，通过公私合作伙伴关系支持孟加拉国的基础设施发展。
Meanwhile, the Asian Development Bank has approved a $100 million loan to support infrastructure development in Bangladesh through public-private partnerships.
这笔贷款将通过向孟加拉国基础设施融资基金提供长期融资来应对基础设施方面的挑战，从而推动关键项目的实施，促进经济增长。
The loan will address infrastructure challenges by providing long-term financing to the Bangladesh infrastructure finance fund, enabling key projects that will boost economic growth.
