Turkey aims to strengthen ferrous, non-ferrous exports
Turkey's ferrous and non-ferrous metal exports increased by 9% year-on-year to $1.1 billion in November, says Turkey’s Mediterranean Iron and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association (Admib), which aims to strengthen its international market position.
The steel industry alone recorded an export performance of $1.3 billion, a y-o-y increase of 8.5%. The impact of metal industries, which constitute 10.5% of Turkey's total exports, was insufficient to prevent a 3.1% contraction in Turkey’s overall exports in November.
“Our goal is to carry the Turkish steel industry to a much stronger position in the international arena. In line with this goal, we continue our efforts to both deepen our presence in our current markets and to establish new markets," says Fuat Tosyalı, Admib president.
