The Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) Beijing Representative Office, the first representative office of an overseas arbitration institution in Beijing, opened in Beijing’s CBD. The 2025 Megalights Wonderland at Wenyuhe Park in Beijing will open on December 28. The lantern festival will feature more than a thousand lanterns from Zigong, Sichuan. The event will last until March 2025, throughout New Year, Spring Festival, and Lantern Festival.

“2025北京千灯夜”将于12月28日在北京温榆河公园朝阳示范区西园启幕。灯会设置四大篇章与八大主题区域，展出超千组自贡彩灯，为市民、游客带来又一处夜文化网红地标。在灯组设计方面，本届“灯王”以清乾隆金嵌珍珠天球仪为蓝本精心雕琢而成，总高度为15米、长40米，约50位非遗传承匠人用时20天完成。本次活动预计持续至2025年3月，将横跨新年、春节、元宵节三大节日。

The "Beijing Rocket Street" project in Beijing E-town will be completed in 2026 and will become China's first commercial aerospace scientific research and production base. The total construction area of the project is about 145,000 sqm, including 6 workshops, 1 underground garage, 1 technology exhibition hall, and supporting buildings.

Green electricity generated from renewable sources in China's Xizang Autonomous Region will begin powering facilities in Beijing starting Jan. 1, 2025. Four companies in Beijing purchased green electricity from 13 new-energy power generation enterprises in Xizang. 15 million kilowatt-hours of electricity are expected to be transacted in the first deal of its kind between Xizang and Beijing.

西藏送北京首笔绿色电力交易已于17日顺利达成，自2025年1月1日起，西藏市场化绿电将源源不断送入北京。此次绿电进京将更好满足北京市电力用户绿色用能需求，有效促进西藏的新能源消纳，助力当地经济社会发展。来自北京市的4家售电公司，购得西藏拉萨、日喀则、山南、那曲等地13家新能源发电企业的绿电，预成交电量约1500万千瓦时。

In the past 6 years since Beijing's reform of the ‘Swift Response to Public Complaints’ mechanism, 150 million requests submitted by individuals and businesses have been handled. The resolution rate and satisfaction rate both increased to 97%. In 2024, Beijing’s Swift Response to Public Complaints Service Hotline 12345 handled 24 million requests.

北京接诉即办改革近6年来，共受理群众和企业反映1.5亿件，解决率和满意率双双提升至97%。2024年，12345热线预计受理2400万件市民诉求，显示出首都市民、企业对接诉即办的信任和对美好生活的期待。

Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Shanxi shared 14 kinds of public credit information this year, including social insurance information, corporate medical insurance information, credit repair results information, and credit reports on no violations of laws and regulations, providing data support for cross-regional credit supervision.

今年，京津冀晋实现社会保险单位信息、企业医疗参保信息、信用修复结果信息、无违法违规专用信用报告等6类公共信用信息共享，算上此前已实现的8类信息，目前四地累计实现14类公共信用信息共享，为跨区域信用协同监管等提供数据支撑。

35 new bus parking lots were built in Beijing's Haidian District offering more shared parking spaces. Currently, 12,192 shared parking spaces are available in the district, providing greater convenience to car owners.

在北京公交集团面向社会开放的第二批错时共享停车场站名单中，海淀新增35处错时共享公交场站，共计521个车位。截至目前，全区累计提供了12192个错时共享停车位，极大程度缓解了“停车难”。

The 94-year-old Xidan Shopping Center will close for renovation at the end of December and will be transformed into a comprehensive commercial service center integrating fashion retail, dining, entertainment, and culture. Xidan Shopping Center was built in 1930.

On December 18, the "Taishan Stone Culture Essence Art Exhibition" opened in Beijing's Zhongshan Park. 170 Taishan landscape stones are on display, showcasing the unique charm of Taishan stone culture.

Bird migration season in Beijing came to an end in December. Since the beginning of autumn, more than 69,000 migratory birds were recorded flying over the Guanting Reservoir, the largest number in recent years. In previous years, the number of migratory birds recorded in the area was about 50,000.

冬日渐深，候鸟迁徙季已经收尾。秋天以来，黑豹野生动物保护站总共在官厅水库监测到候鸟超6.9万只，是近年来最多的一次。往年，迁徙候鸟数量为5万只左右。
