From January to November, the total retail sales of consumer goods in the city exceeded 12.8 billion yuan, and it is expected that the annual scale will remain above 1.4 trillion yuan, maintaining stability for the fourth consecutive year.

《2025春节旅游预测数据报告》发布
The "2025 Spring Festival Tourism Forecast Report" released by the China Travel Service Association shows that Beijing will be the most popular domestic tourism destination during the Chinese New Year holiday this year. Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu, Wuhan and Tianjin are also expected to draw large numbers of tourists during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday.

The Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission has approved the feasibility study report for the northern section of the first phase of the R4 rail transit project, which will connect Beijing’s two airports and three railway stations. The project is scheduled to start construction this year and is expected to be completed by the end of 2029.

As the first exhibition of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Palace Museum, the "Jade from the Kunlun Mountains—Special Exhibition on Hetian Jade Culture in the Qing Court" is being held. 130 out of the 258 exhibits are on public display for the first time. The exhibition will last until Jan 4, 2026.
