颁奖仪式举行
The award ceremony of the 4th "Beijing - A Global City" Short Video Contest was held at the China National Film Museum on December 23, with 50 works receiving prizes. Since its launch on April 23, the contest attracted participants from over 100 countries and regions, including Germany, Japan, Italy, and Malaysia, with over 270 submissions presenting Beijing related stories.
12月23日，第四届“北京•国际范儿”短视频大赛颁奖仪式在中国电影博物馆举行，50部作品分获一二三等奖、优秀奖和单项奖。大赛自4月23日启动以来，累计共有来自德国、日本、意大利、英国、塞尔维亚、马来西亚等100余个国家和地区的人员参与，共计收到270余部投稿作品。这些作品充分展现了北京的活力、色彩和温度，也让世界看到一个既传统又现代、既中国又世界的北京。
元旦到春节北京文化活动丰富多彩
近30场跨年活动即将亮相
Beijing is ushering in the New Year and Spring Festival with an extensive array of cultural activities. Apart from the main New Year’s Eve event held in Shougang Park, nearly 30 New Year celebrations will take place citywide. During the Spring Festival, Beijing will host over 1,000 commercial performances and more than 10 large-scale concerts.
今年北京元旦春节文化活动总体上呈现出体量大、年味足、重联动、重服务等特点。据不完全统计，除首钢园主会场跨年活动外，北京市不同区域和点位举办的跨年活动近30场。在春节期间，北京市将推出千余场营业性演出、10余场大型演唱会。
京津冀将首次合办春节联欢晚会
Marking the 10th anniversary of the Coordinated Development for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, the three areas will join hands to host a series of culture and tourism activities. For the first time, the areas will co-host a New Year’s Eve countdown event and jointly host a Spring Festival Gala.
今年是京津冀协同发展战略实施10周年。在2025年元旦春节即将到来之际，三地将共同举办2025年京津冀迎新春系列文旅活动。活动主要包括六大板块，其中，京津冀三地将首次联动举办群众跨年倒计时活动，并首次联合录制春节联欢晚会，为三地群众奉上丰富多样的文化大餐。

北京2023年城市总规实施“体检单”出炉
Beijing's annual report summarizing urban planning, construction, and development was recently released. Covering key areas such as capital functions, population, and safety, the report revealed that Beijing’s permanent population reached 21.86 million by the end of 2023, marking a year on year increase of 15,000.
《北京城市总体规划实施体检报告公众读本（2023年度）》23号由市规划自然资源委发布。报告围绕首都功能、城市规模、空间布局、生态底线、城市治理、安全韧性、区域协同七个重点领域，总结首都规划建设和发展的年度特点。报告显示，2023年末全市常住人口2185.8万人，较上年末增加1.5万人。

Beijing has introduced 9 designs for senior-friendly rooms recommended for home renovation, offering inspiration and guidance for those who wish to remodel their apartments ahead of retirement. The multifunctional spaces are built within community service stations making them easily accessible to local residents who wish to experience the new design.

A new social benefit initiative launched in Beijing is offering free health checkups to 500 blind individuals in 10 Chinese provinces. The discounted health checkup packages will be available to individuals with visual impairments nationwide through partnerships with local medical centers.
12月3日，“助盲体检”公益项目在北京启动。该项目首期将落地北京、长春、南京等10个城市，为500名视障人员提供免费的定制体检服务，包含血脂、肝肾功能、肿瘤、螺旋CT等在内的22-24个体检项目。
新添“三馆、一场、一中心”
通州区体育场明年投用
Renovation work of the Tongzhou Stadium in Beijing is nearing completion, with interior decoration and equipment installation underway. Scheduled to open in the summer of 2025, the 70,523-square-meter venue will include a stadium, a gymnasium, a swimming center, an ice sports arena, and a fitness hub, catering to various athletic and recreational activities.
通州区体育场升级改造项目主体结构及二次结构施工现已全部完成，正在进行装修装饰和设备安装调试收尾工作，预计2025年暑期投入使用。作为北京市2024年重点工程，通州区体育场升级改造项目总建筑面积70523平方米，核心功能包括“三馆、一场、一中心”，即体育馆、游泳馆、冰上运动馆、体育场、全民健身中心。
首届全国木版年画联展开展
全国10个年画产地代表作品亮相
On December 21, a woodblock New Year printing exhibition opened in Beijing’s Chaoyang District. Featuring over 130 works from major production areas such as Beijing, Tianjin Yangliuqing, and Weifang Yangjiabu, the exhibition highlights the unique intangible cultural heritage. Open to the public with free admission, the exhibition will run until February 21, 2025, with workshops and lectures by master artisans.
12月21日，全国木版年画联展在朝阳区王四营乡崇德堂博物馆开幕。展览会集了北京、天津杨柳青、山东潍坊杨家埠等全国10个主要年画产地的130余幅作品。本次展览将持续至2025年2月21日（每周一闭馆），其间，崇德堂博物馆还将组织年画刻印和国家级非遗传承人举办年画讲座等活动，免费向公众开放。

Beijing Workers Stadium opened its Winter Wonderland activities on December 23. Highlights include snowmobiles, a 33-meter-long slide, and a mysterious polar maze. The 20,000 square meter event area offers over 20 family-friendly winter activities, drawing crowds to experience the season’s magic.
