If you ask a foreigner in Shekou where their favorite place to go after work is, Shekou Expats' Night School is undoubtedly a popular answer. With the growing popularity of Shekou Expats' Night School, an increasing number of foreigners are joining language classes as a way to promote friendship and expand relationships. In particular, the Chinese class, which is a popular course, attracted foreigners from all districts of Shenzhen to sign up. Seats are limited, so it is all about speed.
随着蛇口外国人夜校的日益走红，越来越多的外国人来到蛇口，通过语言学习增进友谊和拓展人际关系。尤其是作为网红课程的中文课堂，更是吸引了来自深圳各个区域的外国朋友踊跃报名，课堂名额每周都十分紧俏，可谓是一位难求。
As the main language in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, Cantonese has a rich cultural background and local characteristics. In order to help foreigners experience the rich Cantonese culture, and to give foreigners who are already proficient in mandarin a chance to improve their language skills, the Shekou Expats' Night School's Cantonese Class, organized by Shekou Management and Service Center for Expats (Shekou MSCE), made its debut on the evening of 24 September.
为了帮助外国人体验丰富的粤文化和传统习俗，也给已经能熟练掌握普通话交流的外国人一个提升语言技能的机会，蛇口外国人夜校的“粤语课堂”在9月24日晚首次亮相。粤语作为粤港澳地区的主要语言，承载着丰富的文化背景和地方特色。这一课程将为外国朋友们提供学习粤语的绝佳机会，让他们更深入地体验和融入这座充满活力的城市。

As a returnee fluent in Cantonese, the teacher of the Cantonese class taught the most commonly used Cantonese. The teacher used various interesting examples to make everyone learn in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The foreigners not only asked questions actively but also communicated with each other in their newly learned Cantonese, and the class was full of laughter. This course is planned to be held every Thursday evening, and subsequent courses will also introduce customs, festivals, and lifestyles related to Cantonese culture.
作为一位精通粤语的海归，粤语课的老师教的都是地道的、生活中最常见的粤语。课堂上，老师用各种有趣的故事和生活实例，让大家在轻松愉快的氛围中学得津津有味。外国朋友们在课堂上表现得像一群好奇宝宝，他们不仅积极提问，还互相用新学的粤语交流，课堂里充满了欢声笑语。此课程计划每周四晚开展，后续课程还将介绍与粤文化相关的习俗、节日和生活方式，帮助学员更全面地感受这门语言的魅力。

Wade, who is from the United States, says he has lived in China for seven years, speaks fluent Mandarin and has made several local friends. He also can speak a little Cantonese. Wade enjoyed today's class as the interactive exercises helped him improve his Cantonese pronunciation.
来自美国的Wade，透露自己在中国已生活长达七年之久，普通话讲得颇为流利，还结交了几位本地朋友。更令人钦佩的是，他还掌握了一些粤语。对于今天的课程，Wade表示非常喜欢，因为课堂上丰富的互动练习极大地帮助他提升了粤语的发音准确度。
Alex from France found mastering Cantonese a greater challenge than learning Mandarin, but the process was extremely enjoyable and the whole class was filled with laughter. By the end of the course, even as a beginner in Cantonese, he was able to speak a few words with confidence, and Alex is looking forward to attending the next course.
来自法国的Alex感叹道，相较于学习普通话，掌握粤语对他来说无疑是个更大的挑战，但这一过程却让他感到无比愉悦，整堂课都洋溢着欢声笑语。课程结束时，即便作为粤语初学者的他，也能自信地开口讲上几句了。Alex满怀期待地表示，下次课程他必定会再次参加。

In addition to Chinese and Cantonese learning lessons, Shekou Expats' Night School started sports series activities in October. Foreign residents will learn Chinese Tai Chi, play Frisbee and cycle at different sports venues to know Shekou's public facilities and enjoy the fun of sports. Shekou Expats' Night School aims to provide an opportunity for Foreign residents to strengthen their ties with the local community!
蛇口外国人夜校的粤语课程不仅是语言学习的契机，更是促进文化交流和增进友谊的桥梁。与此同时，夜校的运动类课程将于10月份全面展开，届时外籍居民将通过在不同的运动场馆学习中国太极、参与飞盘互动、体验深圳湾自行车骑行等活动，深入了解蛇口的公共设施与环境，尽情享受运动带来的乐趣。这些课程将为外籍居民提供丰富的社交机会，进一步增强他们与本地社区的联系。
