Daslan was born out of a different view of the world.
For the founder, the brand is like "another self", it tells the founder's experience and ideas, and transforms some of the difficult content into concrete products, so that people can better understand the story behind them.
Daslan, a Brazilian jewelry brand, celebrates a nomadic lifestyle inspired by multiculturalism. The tone of the brand adopts the philosophy of precision and simplicity of minimalism, and shows the eternal characteristics through pure forms, pays attention to details, and finds the most authentic self in the exquisite place.
NARRATE
The creation of Daslan Jewelry brand is closely related to the experience and background of founder Daniela Salles. She has a mixture of French, Uruguayan and Italian genes and lived in Mexico, Switzerland and Uruguay as a child before moving to Brazil with her family as a teenager. After marriage, she lived in New York and Paris, and finally returned to Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Daniela Salles
Daniela Salles began her career in the automotive industry before moving into the US financial market, born out of a love of art from a young age and finding jewelry design a way to bridge the gap between her academic background, professional experience and worldview. She combines her knowledge of travel and the mechanical engineering she learned in the automotive industry with the organic shapes of nature, the sense of line in architecture and contemporary art to bring the jewelry to life, making it look more like a sculpture.

INTERIOR
Designed by Marina Salles, this showroom is inspired by Daniela Salles' highly integrated approach to organic form and architecture to create wearable sculptural jewellery products. The exhibition hall reflects the inherent connection between the jewelry and the space, and the use of stone, wood and metal evokes the founder's yearning for a traditional nomadic style.
MATERIALS
Marina Salles
Marina Salles Arquitetura seems to have found similarities between jewelry and architecture, especially the conceptual shift in the course of practice. From this point of view, the combination of raw materials and manual skills creates new crafts. At the same time, the surface of the space redefines the connotation of nature in a minimalist but not simple way and gives it a new meaning through craftsmanship.
The floor of the exhibition hall is clad in Cumaru wood, while the facade is made of mineral paint (a mixture of water, earth and natural pigments) developed and designed by Studio Passalacqua -- a starting point that pays homage to local materials such as sand. At the same time, a sculptural counter designed by Marina Salles becomes the visual hub of the space.
Reflecting the balance between stability and suspension, the sculptural counter consists of a cavity stone combined with a intersecting wooden structure, breaking up the monolithic monolithic appearance and forming a suspended base. The application of different materials not only enhances the sense of floating, but also forms an almost poetic structural character.
All furniture is flanked by drawers with brass handles that are a metaphor for gold in jewellery. Display trays inside reproduce the shape and texture of the building, such as wooden slats that can be adjusted for the size of the product. The interior is flooded with light to avoid direct reflections of shadows and glass, while a Li Horizontal chandelier designed by Adriana Yazbek shines through Kozo (Japanese paper) on the exterior, adding a soft Brazilian touch.
On the side wall of the main hall, there is a recessed space for guests to relax. The width of the frame is the same as the width of the adjacent door frame, and the outer edge of the structure is consistent with the height of the door. The seat and backrest are made of rustic silk fabric for comfort. Linen curtains filter light from the terrace in the living room and soften it.
The terrace is the main place for daily secondary activities, making it easy to meet and communicate with different suppliers. There are Canela tables by Fernando Prado, Copa chairs by Brazilian designer Fernando Jaeger and a wooden sideboard from Zara Home.
The designer's office is adjacent to the main hall, where ideas can be conceived and private meetings held. In keeping with the tonality of the rest of the space, Freijo wood is used for the woodwork of the desk, while the handle is also looped in order to echo some of the circular designs in the jewelry design.
In order to create a pure overall image, the kitchen uses a Freijo wood folding opening system. The lower cabinet uses the same finish as the access door, while the upper pair of shelves are used to store glass or other utensils.
The same design concept has been carried over to other areas, such as the bathroom with Freijo cabinets and Travertino marble countertops. Doorknobs, woodwork and mirrors at the entrance are circular in design, responding to the physical character of the Aros jewelry collection.
For Daslan, the flagship store attaches great importance to the shopping experience of customers. Whether it is choosing natural materials or respecting the inheritance of manual skills, it is intended to reflect the happiness of daily life. Starting from the details, while giving the space a "home" atmosphere, it is still inextricably linked with the "jewelry" itself.
