Group 1


项目名称:The Entwined Dance of Love and Reality


小组成员:李孝桂 缪文丽 王忠燕 谭乐 石芳云 刘雪婷


项目简介:The video titled "The Entwined Dance of Love and Reality" is a unique creation that combines art and imagination. Through the use of paper people, we have reimagined the life of Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln endured many pains in his life, including an imperfect first love with Ann, an unhappy marriage, an anguished loss, and a seemingly unnoble cause. However, in this video, we aim to fulfill Lincoln's dream. 

The story unfolds with the miracle of Ann, Lincoln's family life and the changing path that Lincoln takes. The use of paper people in the video adds a touch of creativity and charm, making it a visually captivating experience.


教师评价:

pros:

①It has a clear logic.

②The form of imagination is good.

cons:

①The video is so long that it is hard to cover a long story. 

②We fail to introduce our plots step by step.

③We should focus on a small point next time.

项目名称:Love Trivialities in Mary's Eyes

项目简介:Out of our curiosity about Mary Lincoln, our group has looked up some information about her after reading the unknown Lincoln.we found that most of the information we got criticized Mary a lot.but here's a question: isn't Lincoln to be blame in this tragic marrige? Based on the book, we made a vedio to re-emerge the marriage from Mary's perspective.


教师评价:The style is a good beginning for your idea is built on history facts. It would be better to mark the pages where you have found the scenes. Anyhow, it's an interesting script which helps us to get an understanding of their marriage.

项目名称:Intercultural Dialogue on Educational Wisdom: Lincoln VS“Our Daddies”

项目简介:Based on some plots in the book, we are surprised that Lincoln spoils his children a great deal. So we try to explore the underlying reason why he treat his kids in this way that is greatly contrary to most Chinese parents’ attitude. Also, we came up this an idea to make a cartoon video to easily show us students the difference between Lincoln and Chinese parents. Meanwhile, we can see through some common traits in them...


教师评价:

      1. The title is authentic.

      2. The video is very attractive especially the part of Lincoln's letter.

      3. The reflection does a good job.

      4. Forget to show the form firstly.

项目简介:Our group analyzed the rhetoric and linguistic style of the Gettysburg Address to help everyone better understand the content and significance of the speech.

项目名称:A Stage across the Ocean: Crash of Sino-American Speech Culture

项目简介:In this era of globalization, understanding public speaking in different cultures is essential for fostering international communication and cooperation. Our academic essay explores the reasons behind Sino-America cultural speech cultures. Our paper first revisits the historical contexts, cultural traditions and educational system of both nations that influence public speaking practices. Then we find further understanding of the differences by probing the election system of China and America.

By examining these reasons, our essay seeks to enhance understanding in cross-cultural communication and provide theoretical support for effective dialogue between China and the United States. It also aims to offer references for future research on cross-cultural public speaking practices.

 

教师评价:The title is valuable and educational, but we should change the diction Sino-American into culture differences between China and America. The group needs a clear logic by using subtitles. Also, the speaker's behavior in the presentation is too relaxed and they are not familiar with the essay.
