Lin Utzon is a Danish-Australian artist and designer, born on January 23, 1946, in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is best known for her work in textile design, ceramics, and various other artistic endeavors. Lin Utzon comes from a distinguished creative family; her father was the renowned Danish architect Jørn Utzon, who designed the Sydney Opera House.

Lin followed her father from Australia to the island of Mallorca, Spain, in her early years, and the family settled on the island. In 1972, Jørn Utzon designed their first residence on the island: Can Lis. The design of Can Lis is influenced by the Mediterranean architecture and landscape of Mallorca. It features simple geometric forms, local materials, and integration with the surrounding environment.

Jørn Utzon's ideology centers on this phenomenon - architecture is not an external form; it is primarily the frame enclosing a collection of ritualized events.
