Last week, the students of HQIS experienced a unique exchange event. Representative teachers and students from Changning Public School came to visit our school for the “Hand in Hand, Growing Together” project.
近日，上海虹桥国际外籍人员子女学校迎来了一场别开生面的交流盛会。长宁区教育国际联盟核心校的师生代表（娄山中学、天山中学、西延安中学）及长宁区教育学院国际教育研究室老师莅临我校，与我们共同开展了一场主题为“手牵手，共成长”的访校交流活动。
At the beginning of the event, the HQIS teachers and student representatives guided our honored guests through a detailed campus visit. The visitors had the chance to see our beautiful campus, including our state-of-the-art facilities, and get a glimpse of our school system and educational philosophy. The visitors expressed their appreciation for the unique experience, the beautiful campus and the thrilling international atmosphere of HQIS.
活动伊始，HQIS的师生代表们热情地带领参访的师生们参观了我们美丽的校园。从先进丰富的教学设施到温馨美式的校园环境，每一处都展现了学校独特的国际化教育理念和深厚的人文关怀。长宁的师生们对我校的国际化氛围和卓越设施表示由衷的赞赏。
The visitors from Changning had also the opportunity to walk into our Upper School classrooms for a first-hand experience where they could get a “bite” of our unique curriculum, including English, Mathematics, and Mandarin. During the demo class, the students had the chance to participate in discussions and talk with our educators, showing enthusiasm and a passion for learning. The visitors spoke highly our methods and curriculum, and praised the atmosphere of our school and the preparation of our teachers.
随后，长宁的师生们走进了我们的中学部课堂，亲身感受了外籍学校里英语、数学和中文三门学科的独特魅力。课堂上，学生们积极参与讨论，与老师们频繁互动，展现出了学习热情和探索精神。
Right after the class visit, students were led to our gym to witness the vibrant sports life at HQIS and experience our signature golf and tennis courses. Students were lucky enough to meet our coach Ms. Fu, a former member of the Chinese National Tennis Team and a national tennis champion, who let the students explore the magic of tennis at HQIS. Then, our professional golf coaches briefly explained our holistic teaching methods to make sure that every participant can easily learn how to play and enjoy the game.
紧接着，师生们来到了学校的体育馆，体验了我校特色体育课程——高尔夫和网球课。在网球课上，HQIS网球总教练——中国国家网球队前队员、曾获得全国网球冠军的付教练亲自指导，让长宁的师生们领略到了网球运动的独特魅力和激情。在高尔夫球场，教练们悉心准备了丰富的互动体验，让每一位参与者都能享受高尔夫运动所带来的乐趣。
At the end of the event, the Changning visitors and HQIS teachers and students exchanged gifts as a sign of friendship and best wishes for each other. We see this as a step forward, a brand new chapter where our school works hand in hand with institutions for the betterment of global education.
活动最后，长宁及HQIS的师生代表们互赠了礼物，发表了各自的感想，表达了对彼此的深厚友谊和美好祝愿。这一刻，我们仿佛看到了一个更加美好的未来，一个手牵手、共成长的国际教育新篇章正在缓缓展开。
This school visit and exchange activity not only deepened the friendship and cooperation between HQIS and these institutions in Changning but also established a common ground where, as a school committed to nurturing young minds, we can foster collaborative partnerships and persist in our efforts to cultivate talents and broaden the horizons of international education.
此次访校交流活动不仅加深了

友谊与合作，
更为我们提供了一个相互学习、
共同成长的平台。

It was a fantastic journey, we are indeed astonished by their English efficiency level，I have made friends as well with these students as they attend my mandarin lesson with us. They showed superior knowledge and confident in our Chinese classes.

It has been a happy journey around the school. The students were polite and friendly. I hope they enjoyed the tour and the project we did during math class, and I wish they felt welcomed during the tour.

A few days ago, me and Katy luckily had the opportunity to do a school tour for students from local schools in Shanghai. It turns out to be a wonderful experience, we shared our joy in being part of our school community with others. Being able to connect with students from other schools and share our school spirit made us realize how lucky we are to be part of such a supportive and inclusive community.
几天前，我和我的同学Katy有幸为上海本地学校的学生组织了一次学校参观。这是一次难忘的经历，我们与他人分享了作为学校社区成员的喜悦。能够与其他学校的学生交流并分享我们的学校精神，使我们深刻认识到自己是多么幸运，能够成为这样一个充满支持和包容的社区的一员。

Last week, my student council members and I had the opportunity to guide students from several local school on a tour of our campus. It was a rewarding experience as we introduced them to our school's facilities, programs, and culture. This is pretty fun and special experience to have, also helped me develop better communication and leadership skills. I hope I can participate in more activities like this in the future.
上周，我和我的学生会伙伴们带领了来自当地几所学校的学生参观我们的校园。我们向他们介绍了我们的校园，文化和活动。我认为这是一段非常有趣和特别的经历，也帮助我培养了更好的沟通和领导能力。希望以后还能有机会参加更多这样的活动。
