HQIS Golf Varsity Team has emerged victorious in the recent 2024 PGA China School Golf Championship- Shanghai Fact-Sheet, clinching the team championship title. Moreover, they've swept the Male A division with the champion and second-place finishes, dominated the Male B division by capturing the champion and third-place spots, and also secured the second-place position in the Female B division!
我校高尔夫校队在近期举办的PGA中国校园高尔夫球锦标赛-上海区锦标赛中获得团体断层第一，并斩获男A冠军、亚军，男B冠军、季军，女B 亚军！
At HQIS, golf is more than just a sport; it helps students promote physical and mental well-being, enhance social awareness, and it foster inclusion. Our school’s golf team members actively participate in many competitions, such as the Junior Golf Tour, the SSSA Championship, and other tournaments. Through these events, they not only experience athletic challenges and trials, but also grow in spirit and skills, refining pivotal abilities and qualities that will benefit them for a lifetime.
在HQIS，高尔夫远远超越了一项普通运动的范畴，它成为了一种促进身心健康、增强社会意识、推动包容性的运动。我校高尔夫校队的学子们，通过积极投身于各类赛事，如青少年高尔夫巡回赛、SSSA锦标赛以及嘉年华校际赛事等，不仅在竞技场上经历了磨砺与挑战，更在这些宝贵的经历中收获了难能可贵的成长经验，逐步塑造出能够伴随他们终身的重要技能与品质。

HQIS高尔夫项目介绍
The HQIS Golf Program integrates holistic approaches to make sure that every participant can learn and enjoy the game, making it accessible to students of different ages and skill levels.
HQIS高尔夫球队采用全人教育的教学方法，确保每位参与者都能学有所获，享受高尔夫的乐趣。
The Golf Program includes three different teams: Varsity Team, Reserve Team, and School Team. These three tiers cater to students at different stages. Through comprehensive development in training, competitions, planning, and athletic advancement, the HQIS students have access to a golf program is that is built holistically.
HQIS高尔夫球项目包括三支不同的团队：从学院队、预备队、校队，三个梯队面对不同阶段的学员，从训练、到比赛、到规划、到体育升学，全方面的打造HQIS高尔夫项目。
House Teams 学院队
Where students can play golf in school games and tournaments, providing players with the chance to play at an amateur level.
以学校四大学院为队伍， 进行趣味性和基础性的高尔夫课程和比赛， 面向所有兴趣爱好者。
Junior Varsity Team 预备队
Formed by students who showed interest in golf and who are willing to improve their knowledge and skills to get to a more professional level.
为有潜力但尚未达到校队水平的学生设立的，目的是培养他们未来加入校队的能力。
Varsity Team 校队
Formed by golfers with experience who are willing to play at competitive levels and participate in official athletic competitions.
The golf school teams also serve as an elective course. The team members, after being assessed in various areas such as academics, discipline, and training performance, will be granted elective credits accordingly.
HQIS高尔夫校队由学校最优秀的高尔夫球员组成，享受学校奖学金与福利支持，并代表学校参加各种比赛。高尔夫校队同时也是一门选修课程，校队成员在课程中通过学业、纪律、训练成绩等多方面考核后，都将享有一定的选修学分！
Regarding academic schedules, the school’s coaching team will accommodate student-athletes’ requests for leave or rescheduling of classes due to competitions/training. When possible, make-up lessons will be arranged to help them balance their academic needs and training time, which will help improve students’ time management skills. Additionally, the school will closely collaborate with the coaching team to monitor students' academic progress and performance in real time, making timely adjustments to ensuring that each semester the academic standards and preparation of the team members are fully aligned with those of other students.
学术上，学校的教学团队将配合队员因赛事等原因产生的请假、调课，符合条件的情况下，也将为学生安排补课，帮助队员保持学业与训练之间的平衡，培养他们的时间管理能力；同时，校方也和教练团队密切配合，实时追踪队员的课业进度及成绩，及时调整队员学习状态，保证每学期课程达标率！

The three teams are competitively connected, allowing students of different ages and levels to progress through tailored programs. As they reach the required proficiency, they get the chance to get to the next tier through a linear learning and training that follows a clear and focused pathway toward well-defined goals.
三支队伍又相互承接，不同阶段的学员在相对应的课程中提升自己，达到一定程度后都可以顺利衔接进入下一梯队，自然而然让自己的学习、训练具备坚定的目标！
We are thrilled to announce the creation of the HQIS Golf Varsity Team. After much anticipation and preparation, we are thrilled to extend this opportunity to our students who have demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and passion for this sport. We are confident that they will represent HQIS with integrity and sportsmanship, both on and off the golf course.

Trackman: A revolutionary device that uses radar and camera systems to capture data on the club's movement, impact with the ball, and the resulting ball flight. This data can then be used to provide detailed analysis of the player's performance, including aspects such as club speed, launch angle, spin rate, and much more.

Full swing techniques, golf rules and game etiquette. We also arrange monthly training sessions to improve students’ performances.

Experience & Character
经验积累与品格培养
We encourage team members to participate, accumulate experience, and improve their attitude. Through competitions, students can recognize their strenghts and weaknesses.
我们鼓励预备队参赛，积累经验，通过比赛认识自身优劣，优化训练。强调礼仪、尊重对手，培养团队协作与运动道德。

Professional Coaches
经验丰富的教练团队
Our head coach Ms. Angela was a Division I college golf student-athlete in the U.S. and has a deep understanding of how to build a comprehensive golf training system within schools. The other head coach, Mr. Juan, has years of experience golf programs for young students and is specialized in fitness training.
HQIS高尔夫项目主教练Angela曾是美国一级大学高尔夫学生运动员，深知在学校中如何建立完整的高尔夫训练体系，主教练Juan更有多年青少年高尔夫及专项体能教学经验。
Better grades and better games is possible at HQIS. The HQIS Golf Programme helped me to reduce my anxiety and enhance my confidence, self-esteem, and resilience.
