During this year’s Upper School STEAM Week, students at HQIS showcased their brilliance and teamwork in the highly anticipated ‘Battle of the Brains’ event. Designed to put students' knowledge of math, biology, and chemistry to the test, the competition was a thrilling combination of intellectual challenges and collaborative problem-solving.

Participants were grouped into teams and faced a series of thought-provoking questions that required a deep understanding of the sciences. The event not only highlighted the students’ academic capabilities but also encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, and practical application of their studies.

The energy in the room was palpable as teams competed fiercely while the audience cheered them on. Both participants and spectators enjoyed the interactive format, which added an exciting edge to learning. Teachers and organizers praised the students' dedication and enthusiasm, emphasizing how such events bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world.

The award ceremony after the 'Battle of the Brains' was a celebration of knowledge and teamwork. Every participant was recognized for their efforts, receiving a personalized certificate as a token of their hard work and dedication. The highlight of the event was the resounding applause from their peers, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and camaraderie. It was a fitting end to a day of intellectual challenge and shared achievement.

The Battle of the Brains competition for our Middle and High school students concluded successfully, showcasing remarkable growth among participants. Initially hesitant to join, many students discovered their potential and developed confidence through teamwork and collaboration. As students engaged with challenging tasks, they enhanced their academic skills and built friendships. Ultimately, this experience highlighted the importance of stepping out of comfort zones and embracing new challenges.
