Who doesn’t like the magic of winter? Last week at HQIS has been filled with excitement and festive cheer, as our school community came together to celebrate two of our most beloved events — the Thanksgiving Afternoon Tea and the Winter Market.
在梦幻与奇迹交织的冬日里，校园里洋溢着欢声笑语与节日的温馨，上周全校师生及家长齐聚一堂，共同庆祝了两场备受喜爱的活动——感恩节下午茶与冬日市集。

Last Friday, HQIS hosted the highly anticipated Winter Market, transforming the campus into a magical winter wonderland. With twinkling lights, joyful music, Mr. Santa, and the smell of delicious international cuisine in the air, it was a day to remember for the entire school community.
上周五，HQIS迎来了期待已久的冬日市集，整个校园仿佛变成了一个梦幻般的冬日仙境。五彩斑斓的灯光、轻快温馨的音乐、闪现的圣诞老人，以及空气中弥漫的美食香气，让这一天成为全校师生及家长难以忘怀的美好记忆。

The market kicked off with a vibrant atmosphere as families strolled through our beautifully decorated campus, where booths lined every corner, offering a wide variety of unique holiday gifts and crafts. From handmade ornaments to winter treats, the shopping experience delighted every participant.
市集在一片热闹非凡的氛围中拉开帷幕，家长和孩子们漫步在充满节日氛围的校园中，感受着温馨美好的气息。学校操场上的市集摊位，售卖着各式各样的特色节日礼物和手工艺品。
Winter Market
One of the day’s highlights was the live performances on the main stage. Students, teachers, and even parents showcased their talents through music, dance, and songs, filling the market with energy and excitement.
在主舞台的璀璨光芒下，师生与家长们轮番上阵，用音乐、舞蹈与歌声编织出一场场视听盛宴，让整个市集充满了能量与活力。
As the sun began to set, anticipation built for the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. In the school atrium a towering Christmas tree stood tall, waiting to shine. At dusk, the moment arrived. With a countdown led by Mr. Jackson, the tree was illuminated, casting a warm glow.
夕阳西下，一场激动人心的圣诞树点亮仪式将庆典推向了高潮。在学校中庭，一棵高大的圣诞树巍然矗立，等待着闪耀的时刻。
夜幕降临，在幼儿及小学部校长Mr. Jackson的带领下，全场齐声倒数，圣诞树瞬间被点亮，如同夜空中最亮的星辰，温暖而耀眼。
The HQIS orchestra and choir performed a beautiful rendition of holiday carols, adding a magical soundtrack to the stunning scene.
HQIS弦乐队与合唱团的成员们倾情演绎了节日颂歌，为这惊艳的场景增添了动人的旋律。
Families also indulged in international gourmet offerings, with food booths representing flavors from all over the world. From Italian, Indian, and Mexican food to Asian delicacies, there was something to satisfy every palate. It was a true (and always welcome!) feast of flavors that brought everyone together to enjoy a shared meal in the holiday spirit.
在操场上，美食的香气扑鼻而来，仿佛带领大家进行了一场环球美食之旅。从意大利的浪漫披萨到印度的神秘咖喱，从墨西哥美食到亚洲的精致小吃，每一口都是味蕾的奇妙探险，让人们在节日的欢愉中共享美食的盛宴。
Needless to say, children had their own corner of fun, with activities that ranged from bouncy castles and games to arts and crafts stations. Laughter filled the air as kids and parents enjoyed the excitement of our first open air Winter Market.
而在这片欢乐的海洋中，孩子们找到了属于他们的童话王国。充气城堡、游乐设施与艺术工坊等丰富活动让孩子们笑声连连，仿佛置身于神奇的梦幻世界。
As the evening came to a close, the celebrations left everyone in high spirits. It was an event that perfectly captured the magic of the season, and we look forward to making it even bigger and brighter next year!

The remarkable turnout and joyful atmosphere at both the Thanksgiving Afternoon Tea and Winter Market are a testament to the strength and spirit of our community. In these moments of gathering and celebration, we are reminded of the true meaning of being part of something bigger—of coming together to create shared memories and to support one another, whether through festive fun or the many events that make HQIS a place of belonging. The warmth and connection we’ve experienced during these events are what make HQIS not just a school, but a family. Last Thursday, our school community came together for a special Thanksgiving Afternoon Tea, organized by our wonderful school parents in appreciation of our dedicated teachers. The event featured a sumptuous banquet with an array of delicious food and drinks, thoughtfully prepared to show gratitude for the teachers' efforts in educating and nurturing our students.
上周四，我校POH家委会精心筹备了一场感恩节下午茶，以此向辛勤耕耘的老师们献上最真挚的感谢，下午茶每一道佳肴都凝聚着对老师们教育与培育学生的感激之情。

The Thanksgiving Tea was not just an opportunity to thank our teachers, but also to recognize the invaluable contributions of our parents, especially our tireless POH members and volunteers. Their daily support and commitment make our school a better place, enhancing the quality of education and enriching the community as a whole.
此次活动不仅为老师们提供了一个被感谢与尊重的珍贵时刻，更是对一直以来默默付出的家长们，尤其是那些不辞辛劳的家委会成员及志愿者们的崇高致敬。正是有了他们的鼎力支持与无私奉献，HQIS才得以更加茁壮成长，社区文化氛围也日益丰富多元。
