AHMEDABAD: Maruti Suzuki India on Tuesday announced that it has commenced exports of Made-in-India Fronx to Japan, making it the first SUV from the company to be manufactured in India and launched in Japan.

Fronx is manufactured at the company's Hansalpur plant, situated around 95km from Ahmedabad. The first consignment of over 1,600 vehicles left for Japan from Gujarat's Pipavav port on Monday.

NEW DELHI: India and Russia are working on a deal worth Rs 10,500 crore for the supply of nuclear fuel and core components to Kudankulam nuclear power plant's two new units coming up with Moscow's help, people in the know said.

The deal envisages Russian nuclear fuel company TVEL JSC supplying to the dept of atomic energy the initial loads and subsequent five reloads for units 3 and 4 of the Kudankulam N-power project along with control rods and fuel assembly inspection tool set from 2025 to 2033.

NEW DELHI, Aug 9 (Reuters) - Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra and China's Shaanxi Automobile Group have agreed to set up a $3 billion joint venture to build a car manufacturing plant in India and are awaiting New Delhi's approval, sources told Reuters.

A majority stake in the proposed manufacturing venture will be owned by Mahindra, two sources with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters, and is proposed to be set up in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state of Gujarat.

In a stock exchange statement after the report was published, Mahindra said: "The article is unfounded and there is no truth in the matter."

Global index compiler MSCI will remove 60 Chinese stocks from its gauges in its latest quarterly review, the third straight cull this year, reflecting the waning significance of the nation’s equities in overseas investors’ portfolios.

Fifty-six companies trading on China’s onshore exchanges and four in Hong Kong will be removed from the MSCI China Index at the end of August, MSCI said in a statement on Monday.
