在继对越南海防市的LG Innotek 工厂追加投资1.3万亿韩元(折合约10亿美元,人民币72.3亿),目标是将智能手机摄像头模块的产能提高一倍后,今天LG再次对LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong越南海防公司(以下简称LG Display海防)扩产OLED显示模组产能,到 2028 年之前在海防工厂继续再投资10 亿美元(约合人民币72.3亿元)。
据越南海防市人民委员会11月15日消息,LG Display于前一天获得了越南海防市人民委员会颁发的投资登记证书(IRC),在在海防进行工作访问的越共总书记苏林先生出席了相关仪式。
根据海防经济区管理局的文件,这笔投资将提高该公司海防工厂的 OLED 显示屏产量,并使其在越南的总投资额达到 56.5 亿美元(约合人民币408.54亿)。投资主要用于在海防Trang Due工业园的扩建。
本次在海防取得投资许可证的还有LG的配套企业韩国喜星电子有限公司项目在Trang Due工业园增资1.25亿美元,使总资本达到2.79亿美元。该项目实施的目标是制造和组装自动定位液晶模块(LCM)组件、触控面板(TPS)、导光板(LGP)等。
苏林先生表示,海防已连续9年保持两位数增长,2019-2023年期间全市经济平均增速达到12.6%/年,是全国平均水平(5.16%/年)的2.44倍。
LG于2016年进入越南在海防进行产能落地,LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong项目初始投资额高达15亿美元,是当时海防市最大的FDI投资项目。该项目专门生产用于移动设备的柔性AMOLED屏幕、OLED电视屏幕、液晶屏幕等。随后几年,LG不断加大投资资金,扩大该项目的生产规模。截至去年底,LG在海防的总投资已增至46.5亿美元。其中LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong专门生产高科技OLED屏幕,规模为1300-1400万片/月。
今年7月3日,越南政府总理范明先生在对韩国进行正式访问期间,在首尔会见了LG Display首席执行官郑哲东先生,LG表示将在未来5年内对越南生产基地追加投资30亿美元,包括前面提到的把海防LG Innotek工厂产能将增加一倍,形成一个封闭的 LG 生产基地等。
据旭日大数据李星了解,目前LG在越南的注册投资总额为80.2亿美元, LG的项目大部分位于海防,另外在河内和岘港设有研发中心。LG 电子在越南有 4 家子公司,制造企业包括LG Electronics Vietnam Hai Phong – LGEVH,LG Innotek Vietnam Hai Phong – LGITVH、LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong公司、LG化学海防工程塑料公司,总共拥有约1000 多名员工。
2023年LG电子在越南的两家电子工厂的总收入将达到108,960亿韩元(2048,000亿越南盾);利润总额达到3787亿韩元(8.2万亿越南盾)。
其中LG电子越南海防公司(LGEVH) 2023年营收约为96.5万亿越南盾,同比增长14.5%;利润2.8万亿越南盾。截至2023年底,LG电子越南海防总资产为37.1万亿越南盾。
LG Innotek越南海防工厂(LGITVH)实现收入108.3万亿越南盾,同比增长32.6%。该工厂的收入仅次于LG Innotek(韩国)、LG Electronics USA(美国);利润同比增长了56.64%,达到5.4万亿越南盾。截至2023年底,LG Innotek越南海防总资产超过40.4万亿越南盾。
LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong公司的营收增长近4%,达到52.1万亿越南盾;净利润接近3万亿越南盾,同比增长41.8%。。按照这一销售额数字,LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong公司在LG Display全球子公司中排名第三,仅次于LG Display America,以及中国的LG显示高科技(中国)。
LG化学海防工程塑料公司实现收入8513亿越南盾,税后利润同比增长6倍,达到近1200亿越南盾。
此次集中发放投资许可证的海防市目前拥有企业约5.7万家,其中科技企业53家(全国排名第三,仅次于胡志明市和河内)。
而LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong公司除了配套LG越南电视产品和以前的LG智能手机产品外,主要是为苹果iPhone手机业务配套柔性AMOLED显示屏。
苹果在印度扩产iPhone手机组装产能后,LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong公司是苹果印度组装工厂富士康、塔塔电子等的主要供应商。苹果目前正在要求印度富士康、塔塔电子等组装工厂继续扩产iPhone手机组装产能,希望能在2025年把印度的iPhone手机组装产能占比提升到30%左右。
而此次LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong公司扩产,行业认为主要是为了应对苹果iPhone手机在印度扩产的需要。
Vietnam's LG Display to invest NT$7.23 billion in Haiphong to expand iPhone AMOLED production

Following an additional investment of 1.3 trillion won (US$1 billion, 7.23 billion yuan) in the LG Innotek plant in Haiphong, Vietnam, with the goal of doubling the production capacity of smartphone camera modules, LG today expanded the production capacity of LG Display Vietnam Haiphong (hereinafter referred to as LG Display Haiphong).
According to the People's Committee of Hai Phong City of Vietnam on November 15, LG Display received the Investment Registration Certificate (IRC) issued by the People's Committee of Hai Phong City of Vietnam the day before, and the relevant ceremony was attended by Mr. Su Lin, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam who is on a working visit in Hai Phong.
According to documents from the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority, the investment will increase the production of OLED displays at the company's Hai Phong plant and bring its total investment in Vietnam to US$5.65 billion (about 40.854 billion yuan). The investment was mainly for the expansion of Trang Due Industrial Park in Hai Phong.
The investment license in Haiphong was also obtained by LG's supporting company, South Korea's Heesung Electronics Co., Ltd., to increase its capital by US$125 million in the Trang Due Industrial Park, bringing the total capital to US$279 million. The goal of the project implementation is to manufacture and assemble automatic positioning liquid crystal module (LCM) components, touch panels (TPS), light guide plates (LGPs), etc.
Mr. Surin said that Hai Phong has maintained double-digit growth for nine consecutive years, and the average growth rate of the city's economy during the period from 2019 to 2023 reached 12.6%/year, which is 2.44 times the national average (5.16%/year).
LG entered Vietnam in 2016 to implement production capacity in Haiphong, and the initial investment of LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong project was as high as US$1.5 billion, which was the largest FDI investment project in Haiphong at that time. The project specializes in the production of flexible AMOLED screens, OLED TV screens, LCD screens, etc. for mobile devices. In the following years, LG continued to increase its investment funds to expand the production scale of the project. By the end of last year, LG's total investment in Hai Phong had increased to $4.65 billion. Among them, LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong specializes in the production of high-tech OLED screens, with a scale of 13 million to 14 million pieces per month.
On July 3 this year, Prime Minister Pham Minh met with LG Display CEO Chung Chol Dong in Seoul during an official visit to South Korea, and LG said that it will invest an additional $3 billion in Vietnam's production base over the next five years, including doubling the production capacity of the LG Innotek plant in Hai Phong to form a closed LG production base.
According to Li Xing from Sunrise Big Data, LG's total registered investment in Vietnam is currently US$8.02 billion. Most of LG's projects are located in Hai Phong, and it has R&D centers in Hanoi and Da Nang. LG Electronics has 4 subsidiaries in Vietnam, including manufacturing companies LG Electronics Vietnam Hai Phong - LGEVH, LG Innotek Vietnam Hai Phong - LGITVH, LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Company, and LG Chemical Hai Phong Engineering Plastics Company, with a total of more than 1,000 employees.In 2023, the total revenue of LG Electronics' two electronics factories in Vietnam will reach 10,896 billion won (204,800 billion VND); The total profit reached 378.7 billion won (VND 8.2 trillion).
Among them, LG Electronics Vietnam Haiphong Company (LGEVH) will have revenue of about VND 96.5 trillion in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 14.5%; Profit of VND 2.8 trillion. As of the end of 2023, LG Electronics Vietnam's total assets in Haiphong were VND 37.1 trillion.
LG Innotek's Vietnam Haiphong Plant (LGITVH) achieved revenue of VND 108.3 trillion, up 32.6% year-on-year. The plant's revenue is second only to LG Innotek (South Korea) and LG Electronics USA (USA); Profit increased by 56.64% year-on-year to VND 5.4 trillion. As of the end of 2023, LG Innotek's total assets in Haiphong Vietnam exceeded VND40.4 trillion.
LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong saw revenue increase by nearly 4% to VND 52.1 trillion and net profit of nearly VND 3 trillion, up 41.8% year-on-year. Based on this sales figure, LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong ranks third among LG Display's global subsidiaries, behind LG Display America and LG Display Technology (China) in China.
LG Chem Haiphong Engineering Plastics achieved revenue of VND 851.3 billion, and profit after tax increased sixfold year-on-year to nearly VND 120 billion.
Hai Phong City, which has concentrated the issuance of investment licenses, currently has about 57,000 enterprises, including 53 technology enterprises (ranking third in the country, after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi).
In addition to supporting LG Vietnam TV products and previous LG smartphone products, LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong mainly supports flexible AMOLED displays for Apple's iPhone mobile phone business.
LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong is a major supplier to Foxconn, Tata Electronics, and others at Apple's Indian assembly plant after Apple expanded its iPhone assembly capacity in India. Apple is currently asking India's assembly plants such as Foxconn and Tata Electronics to continue to expand iPhone assembly capacity, hoping to increase India's iPhone assembly capacity to about 30% by 2025.
The expansion of LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong is mainly believed by the industry to meet the needs of Apple's iPhone expansion in India.
