我们可以借助词典来理解这句话的真正含义。剑桥英语词典里对“You're a star”是这样解释的：something you say to someone when they have been nice and helpful to you.
因此，这句话的真正含义就是“当他人对你伸出援助之手时你说的话”，其实是在夸对方：你真是个大好人。相当于我们常说的：你真是我的大救星。当然同义表达我们也都非常熟悉，It's very nice/kind of you.
