上周,MYP1-4的学生前往了拾翠云南民艺园进行了一次有趣的、设计与艺术融合的探究学习。在身临其境的体验中,学生们对昆明充满活力的创意产业有了一定得了解,也一站式的发挥想象、表达想法、构思方案、实现项目,全方位的提升了动手能力。
Last week, MYP1-4 students, participated in an engaging Design and Art activity at the ShiCui Art District. This immersive experience introduced students to Kunming’ s vibrant creative industry, showing them that the city offers numerous centers where they can express ideas, realize projects, and develop hands-on skills.

民间艺术探索
探究学习晨起于拾翠云南民艺园的概览思考,参观展示传统工艺的工坊,包括陶瓷、制革、木工、肥皂制作和云南民间古董收获:
手工艺品体现着地方文化的价值、也内含着丰富的传说及故事;
在实地考察善用批判性思维思考,在问题间建立思想网络,杜绝人云亦云;
手工艺品多方位的促进着文化的表达。
The day began with a guided tour of the ShiCui Art District, where students explored workshops showcasing traditional crafts, including ceramics, leathermaking, woodworking, soap making, and vintage Yunnan artifacts. They learned:
How these crafts embody cultural values, tell stories, and preserve identities;
A quiz encouraged students to think critically about these connections;
Explore how craftsmanship contributes to cultural expression.

午餐时间,普通却不平凡,学生们前往餐厅并在那里获得了自己制作披萨的机会——松弛且带着思考的互动午餐:
为餐点增添了个人色彩;
在相对放松的空间与时间里与同龄人建立关系。
For lunch, students headed to Humdinger, where they had the chance to make their own pizzas—a fun, interactive activity:
added a personal touch to their meal;
Drinks, French fries, and snacks were served, giving them time to relax and bond with peers.

相对放松的时间过后,学生们的焦点转向了陶瓷。拾翠云南民艺园的导览员详细介绍了“瓦猫”——具有民族文化意义的云南传统粘土工艺品,它象征着善良。学生们仔细地了解着关于“瓦猫”的信息,从它的历史、意义到它在具体制作过程中所使用的自然材料。在技艺精湛的工匠的指导下,Ta们设计并制作了属于自己的“瓦猫”,并亲自将其送入窑中烧制。
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to ceramics. Students were introduced to the Wamao, a traditional Yunnan clay token with cultural significance, often used in rituals and as symbols of goodwill. They learned about its history, meaning, and the natural materials used in its creation. Under the guidance of skilled artisans, students designed and crafted their own W, shaping the clay and preparing them for kiln firing.

创造力践行
在松弛也有意义的探究学习中学生们感受到来自云南民族文化创新的无限可能;在实际操作中也获得了经验,并真切的体验到民艺园区是如何将脑海中的想法转化为现实中的项目,其中提供着怎样的资源与支持。
The activity wrapped up at 4:00 PM, leaving students inspired by the possibilities of Kunming’s creative centers. They gained hands-on experience and saw how local workshops provide resources and support for turning ideas into reality.
