焦虑来袭

就像你的父亲，祖父，
曾祖父和曾曾祖父
还有你的鲸鱼骨
你将填满博物馆
从你第一个孩子的哭喊到你最后一口气
你每一个细节都会被揭露
你的肤色，或者你性生活的解剖
应该会给他们一两个惊喜
为什么你在河湾使用这条桨橹
谁在你的路途种下坏主意
没有道具或眼镜你的样貌如何
你一生的事业已经奉献给
虚无，除了秋海棠、大丽菊和牵牛花
未来的后代将不胜负荷
他们可能会欣赏不同的寓意
承袭自不同的样式
你为了不同的场合而穿的不同的筒裙──新的一条
或两条筒裙，每一天用香水来搭配
你不太甜美又不太酸溜的笑容
如何抬升一片土地和切割另一片土地
研究员毫无疑问将会探听你的日记
你的锅碗和裤子将揭示你一直是
偶然的、紧急的、处境的或因果报应的产物
因此，他们会解说，一如你的祖先，
你被命名为特定的内陆香米
在一个特定的碗里以特定的方式蒸煮
用上下的炭火保持温暖
更不用说
你喜好后现代平底人字拖鞋！
从不同的假设
你离开许久以后，人民会拼死的争论
你的人生曾是
历史上最伟大的成功，或者
最令人沮丧的失败
anxiety attack
just like your father, grandfather,
great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfathers
with your whale skeleton
you will fill a museum
from your first baby cry to your last breath
every detail of you will be laid bare
dissection of your skin color, or your sex life
should give them a surprise or two
why you used this oar for that meander
who planted bad medicine in your path
how you might look without props or specs
your entire career has been dedicated to
nothing, but begonias, dahlias and petunias
future generations will be overwhelmed
they will probably appreciate different messages
inherent in the different patterns of different
longyis you wore to different functions─a new
longyi, or two, each day with a perfume to match
how your not-so-sweet-not-so-sour smiles
lifted one land and lanced another
researchers will no doubt nose into your diaries
your pots and pants will reveal how you have been
a product of contingencies, exigencies, context or karma
that’s why, they will explain, like your ancestors,
you were entitled to particular upcountry fragrant rice
steamed in a particular manner in a particular bowl
kept warm with top and bottom charcoal fire
not to mention
your penchant for postmodern platform flip-flops!
from different premises
people, long after your departure, will die arguing
how your life has been
history’s greatest success, or
its most dismal failure

不要用一个字，杀死两只知更鸟
如果你不知道如何向其中一只说谎
不要咀嚼鞋子和布料
不要成为任何诗歌团体的一员
不要成为玫瑰爱好者
你不想成为另一个伤心的慰问者
精致的羽绒不适合我们人类
它们让你穿着太热
没有了就太冷
看看睡着的弱者，
想当然会烂死，
已经通过苦道反弹回人生！
患了注意力分散失调
它跳过冠冕，掐住和
勒死贵族的秩序
现在王国需要一只跳蚤的跃进
新当选的领导人可能秀丽
只是不用希望她改变风土
是不是吸引呢？
每一个贝壳如何陷入容纳了一整队交响乐团的
挖空的竹子里面
the rain maker
switch off the lights, turn the projector on
sit back and relax, let’s enjoy the mirages
on kayan rice wine and cheese crackers
a few simple rules here
you may bite the hand that feeds you,
just don’t feast on it
don’t multitask if you don’t know
how to run north for a southbound hare
don’t kill two robins with one word
if you don’t know how to lie to one of them
don’t chew the shoes and the drapery
don’t be a member of any poetic community
don’t be a rose fancier
you don’t want to be another down comforter
fine feathers are unfit for us humans
they make you too hot within
too cold without
look how the dormant underdog,
taken for granted rotten-dead,
has sprung back to life on dukkha media!
sickened with divided attention disorder
it jumps over the crown, chokes and
strangles the aristocratic order
the kingdom now needs a flea leap forward
the newly elected leader may be comely
just don’t expect her to change the clime
isn’t it fascinating?
how each and every cowry trapped in a hollowed-out bamboo
houses an entire symphony orchestra
