我经常会读到各种书单，也听很多介绍书的播客。我打算在这些书单里，慢慢探索，构建自己的阅读生活，评选属于自己阅读生活的100本书。
制定这样的书单肯定得挑剔一些。标准怎么定呢？我受到Dick Mayer 的启发。
他说：我的标准基本上是这本书对我产生了多大的影响、让我有多感动、让我看到了什么——以及它在我心中留下了多少印记。
以下是Dick 选择的二十世纪的100本英文小说。其中红色的部分，是我读过而且也一定会选入我自己的100本书单的。绿色的是我想去读的，看看我会不会喜欢。我还发现Sophie's Choice（第97本）赫然入单 - 这是我的学生给我推荐的书，这下怎么样都要去读一读了。
