建立与世界各地学府的交流平台

“城市”一直是讨论的热点话题，每个城市都有不同的气质，每个城市的背后也潜藏着不同的发展逻辑。将城市话题放置于在全球语境下展开讨论，必然会有更国际化的视野、更多元化的声音以及更丰富的思想碰撞。

作为一个具有全球化国际视野的交流平台，《城市中国》（Urban China）非常重视聆听世界各地学者的声音，因此希望通过UC海外观察员栏目与世界各地的高校或研究机构搭建起交流的桥梁。

‘Cities’has always been a heat topic of discussion in and out of academia. We believe in the uniqueness of each city and that each one has a distinct logic behind its urban development. Our goal is to discuss this topic in a global context, which we hope will bring a more international perspective, more diverse voices, and a richer exchange of ideas.

The Urban China International Observer Program was created to establish a global platform for communication with an international outlook.

独特的城市，最新的观察视角

八年来，分布在世界各地、深耕于各个领域的年轻学者报名参与UC海外观察员，并在城市更新、智慧城市、绿色城市、宜居城市、城市人居、建筑设计等多个话题发起了研究与探讨。这些学术理论与城市现实难题的讨论与碰撞，对于不同城市的思想与感悟，共同推动了城市发展的进程。

目前，海外观察员的队伍已经颇具规模。共有来自全球40个城市、世界44所知名高校、总计63名海外观察员，组织16场海外观察沙龙，组织3场由观察员作为主咖的专题沙龙、1届“盛泽蚕花里社区设计节”，投稿并发表了数十篇专栏文章。其中，有相当一部分成员已经回国就职，在新的工作岗位上继续参与城市观察员活动。

Eight years on, young scholars from around the world, engaged in various fields, have joined the observer programme, and initiated research on topics including urban transformation, smart city, green city, livable city, architecture and design, etc. The intersection of theories and real-world experiences from various cities has fostered insights that drive urban development.

At present, our team of overseas observes has grown considerably, with 63 overseas observers from 40 cities and 44 overseas universities. Together, they have successfully organized 16 workshops, 3 thematic salons with our observers as the main curators, the‘New Silk Stories’ Suzhou Shengze Canhuali Design Festival, and have published dozens of column articles. A significant number of our observers have returned to China and continue their engagement in Urban China’s observer activities at their new posts.

Global and local universities are preferred, as well as practitioners in urban research, urban design, etc.

本次招募特约观察员共8人

We aim to recruit 8 observers for this round.

城市中国观察员计划已经成为一个开放的专业研究网络，成员与UC、成员与成员之间逐渐形成了互动研究网络，因此，城市中国观察员的工作转变为如下方向：

1.开展与当前的城市热点话题相关的独立研究，撰写专业评论文章，发布于《城市中国》相关平台；

2.开展城市研究讨论，筹办专题沙龙；

3.参与或接受《城市中国》委派的研究课题（含孟加拉城市土地学会/UBI研究课题），撰写学术文章，并发表在学术期刊（自行投递）；

4.筹办、参加“城市中国观察员年会”，发表学术演讲等；

5.参与《城市中国》筹办的其他专业讨论、节事等。

（注：以上内容为成员加入之后，根据实际研究情况的可选项，而非每项必须满足。）

As the Urban China Observer Programme has become an open professional research network with active interactions between Urban China and participants, and among participants. Therefore, there is a shift in the responsibilities of Urban China Observers: 

1. Carry out independent research related to heat topics and write professional reviews, to be published on platforms of Urban China;

2. Conduct thematic urban discussions and host salons;

3. Participate in research projects assigned by Urban China (including projects of Urban Bangladesh Institute), write research papers, and publish them in academic journals (self-submission)

4. Organize and participate in the Annual Event of Urban China Observer and deliver academic speeches;

5. Participate in any other additional professional discussion and festivals.

(Note: The listed responsibilities are optional, not mandatory, to be further discussed after joining the programme)

1.凡参与者将在《城市中国》各平台被公示正式加入“《城市中国》观察员”计划；

2.完成1年的基本研究合作后，正式颁发“城市中国特约观察员”证书，并可持续不定期参与《城市中国》委派的相关研究工作；并在同等条件线，优先采用其文章、研究成果，优先受邀、参加城市中国主办的活动、竞赛等；（如2024盛泽社区设计节导师、《未来社区》撰稿人、SUSAS全球城市更新案例研究撰稿人等。）

3.UC为观察员发起的专业讨论、研究项目，提供全程素材和设计支持，为每次活动/项目提供必要的资源、资金补贴；

1. Participants will be announced on the platforms of Urban China to formally join the UCO programme;

2. Participants will be officially issued the certificate of ‘Urban China Contributing Observer’ after completing one year of research programme. As a member of expert team, you will continue participating in research projects and enjoy the priority of publishing papers and research articles on Urban China platforms and participating in Urban China’s activities and forums;

3. Contribution fees and relevant resources are provided for discussions and research projects initiated by observers.
