吾等尝言百合固金丸，其为滋养肺阴之善药。In the past, Baihe Gujin Pills were discussed as a superior medicine for nourishing lung yin.
若口燥、目干、鼻干、肌肤燥，此燥气实乃示吾等体内津液匮乏，即阴虚之证也。If a patient has a dry mouth and tongue, dry and sore eyes, a dry nose, and dry skin, this sign of dryness indicates a lack of body fluid and is a sign of yin deficiency.
于此时服一剂百合固金丸，可润周身。Taking Baihe Gujin Pills at the right time can moisten the whole body.

由是，成一养肺良方，自肝养至肾，自肾养至肺。Thus, it forms a good prescription for nourishing the lungs, from the liver to the kidney and from the kidney to the lung.
养肝即减肾之负，养肾即减肺之负，终至肝肾肺皆无负担，人身周全安宁，元气无损。Nourishing the liver reduces the burden on the kidney. Nourishing the kidney reduces the burden on the lung. Eventually, the liver, kidney, and lungs are all free from burden. The human body is in a state of peace and stability, and the vitality is not damaged.

凡痰少干咳、鼻孔燥、全身皮肤燥、大便燥者，皆肺阴虚之征，皆可用百合固金丸调养。Dry cough with little phlegm, dry nostrils, dry skin, and dry stools are all signs of lung yin deficiency and can all be regulated with Baihe Gujin Pills.
于今，其可治肺结核、慢性支气管炎、支气管扩张咯血、慢性咽喉炎等疾。Nowadays, it can also be used to treat diseases such as tuberculosis, chronic bronchitis, hemoptysis due to bronchiectasis, and chronic pharyngitis.
但辨证属肺肾阴虚、虚火上炎即可。But it must be diagnosed as lung-kidney yin deficiency and excessive fire flaring up.

阴虚体质者，当保阴潜阳，食宜清淡，少食油腻、油炸之物，肉可食，然量宜适。People with yin deficiency constitution should nourish yin and suppress yang. The diet should be light, with less greasy and fried foods. Meat can be eaten in moderation.
起居必有常，不可熬夜。Keep a regular daily routine and avoid staying up late.
