Highlights of the Education Fair

Nearly 30 Schools Make Appearances

A one-stop guide to primary transition

On that day, nearly 30 renowned international and bilingual schools in Shanghai participated in the fair, providing an opportunity for nearly 500 families to communicate closely with school principals and admissions teachers.

"The transition from preschool to primary school is an educational process that ensures a smooth progression between the kindergarten and primary school stages. It's also a significant turning point in children's journey of growth. Victoria believes that parents and children in attendance will gain a more intuitive and comprehensive understanding of the educational philosophies, curriculum systems, and diverse school features and campus cultures of many schools through activities such as school presentations and one-on-one communication. This will be beneficial in receiving valuable support for further education," shared Melanie, the Executive Director of Victoria, at the event.

The school enrollment presentations were packed with attendees, and additional breakout sessions were even opened to accommodate more parents. Through comprehensive introductions by principals and admissions officers, parents gained a thorough understanding of their desired schools from various perspectives, enhancing their awareness of educational planning.

For parents, this was an informative "Preschool to Primary School Transition Workshop." Victoria specifically invited parents of graduates from renowned schools such as SHSID, SMIC, and WFLS PYP to share how they tailored their children's transition preparations based on individual personalities and characteristics, enabling them to embark on a new stage of life with a healthy body and mind and good habits.

Establishing a Platform

Meeting needs and expectations

with targeted services

This exhibition marks the first collaboration between Victoria and numerous renowned schools, providing firsthand enrollment information for parents of children in various age groups. At the bustling exhibition, we conducted exclusive interviews with several principals.

——Elementary Principal of SESID

"We are honored to participate in Victoria's first Education Fair. This fair brought multiple campuses together, providing us with an opportunity to have face-to-face interactions with more families. Victoria's parents are enthusiastic and well-informed, and we hope that our participation can bring them valuable insights. Thank you again for inviting us!"

——Director of Admissions at YK Pao School

"I has been great to have this  opportunity to introduce Dulwich to the Victoria families. It's wonderful to visit your school and meet some of your community. As an international school, it's important for us to have face-to-face interactions and discuss if our educational values align. This allows us to determine if there is a good fit between us and the families we meet."

——Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong Director of Admissions and Marketing

"It's amazing that Victoria organized such a large-scale exhibition in such a short time! It's a precious opportunity for us to learn from and progress together with education peers."

——Pinghe Admissions

"Victoria's students are outstanding, and they are highly compatible with our school. We are grateful to Victoria for organizing this education fair, which allowed us to connect with parents from six districts in Shanghai and efficiently advance our admissions work."

——SUIS Shangyin Admissions

Parents of children in different age groups, whether considering progression, transfer, or transitioning, had the opportunity to meet more preferred schools at once, gaining richer firsthand enrollment information. For those participating for the first time, they also shared their thoughts.

Chris's mother from Gumei Campus K1 also expressed, "Through face-to-face communication with various schools, many vague ideas became clear, greatly helping us in choosing a school for the future."

Tricia's father from Pudong A+ Playnatorium is a forward-thinking parent in education. He said with a smile, "Although my child is still young, I don't think it's too early to be concerned about their education. Through this exhibition, we gained a better understanding of the Chinese Mainland's education system and policies since we recently returned to Shanghai."

In the future, Victoria will continue to focus on cutting-edge information in international education, building an effective communication platform between parents and schools, helping more children smoothly navigate the critical period of transition from kindergarten to primary school, and empowering young dreams to set sail eagerly.
