In 1998,Shanghai Victoria Kindergarten (Gumei) was the first bilingual kindergarten created by Victoria(China Education Group)established in Shanghai. In 2007,after sufficient training and evaluation the school was officially accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization as an IB World School; the first certified IB kindergarten in China. Shanghai Victoria kindergarten (Gumei) implements the lB+curriculum that integrates the three major components of IBPYP,TCRWP and STEAM, focusing on the cultivation of children's early reading skills, comprehensive abilities and multiple qualities. Teachers are committed to cultivating young global citizens and lifelong learners with an international perspective and caring.
上海维多利亚幼儿园(古美园)于1998年开办,是维多利亚(中国)教育集团在上海创立的第一所幼儿园,2007年正式获得国际文凭组织IB世界学校认证,成为大陆地区第一所IB PYP幼儿园。我园采用IB+课程,该课程融合了IBPYP、TCRWP、STEAM、仁爱项目等课程内容,注重孩子早期阅读能力、综合能力和多元素质的培养,致力于培育身心康乐、勤学好问、尊重博爱、正直内省的世界小公民和终身学习者。

The "IB China Education Forum 2024" was held grandly at the Shenzhen Foreign Languages School (SFLS). This forum attracted thousands of IB education leaders and professionals from all over the country to discuss the future development of IB PYP education.
“2024 IB中国教育论坛”在深圳外国语学校(集团)湾区学校盛大举行,本次论坛吸引了来自全国各地的上千名IB教育管理者和工作者共同探讨IB PYP教育的未来发展。
At the opening ceremony of the forum,they invited a number of education experts to give keynote speeches. They demonstrated the core values of IB education from different perspectives and ways to cultivate internationally competitive talents in the context of globalization.
在论坛的开幕式上,论坛邀请了多位知名的教育专家进行主题演讲,他们从不同的角度阐述了IB教育的核心价值,以及如何在全球化背景下培养具备国际竞争力的人才。
At the sub-forum,presenters shared their respective schools’ successful practices in implementing the IB curriculum. On behalf of SVK Gumei campus, Mr. Simon, curriculum coordinator, Ms. Liu Zongyan, Administrative Assistant, and Ms. Michelle, English Teacher, were honored to be invited to present in the forum. They shared and exchanged views on topics of "The Process of Inquiry" and "Stimulating Children's Agency and Developing Creative Thinking Skills".
在分论坛上,与会者分享了各自学校在实施IB课程过程中的成功经验和教训。我园课程协调员Simon、行政助理刘宗燕、英文老师Michelle荣幸受邀发言,进行了关于《探究的过程》和《激发幼儿能动性,发展创造性思维技能》的分享交流。
Mr. Simon and Ms. Liu’s sharing session focused on the PYP UOI inquiry process.They shared various strategies that teachers could use in the class reflections such as a ‘snowball game’ which we also tried out with the spectators. Allowing them to understand how reflections can be fun and aid the sharing of ideas as well as fruitful in making learning memorable. At the end of the meeting, many teachers continued to discuss and communicate with them about the inquiry process, which helped them to realise the value of sharing.
Simon和刘老师聚焦PYP的UOI探究过程,分享和梳理了一些探究策略,结束环节通过“雪球游戏”现场进行本次分享的反思和老师们的经验交流,让分享的意义得到最大价值的体现。活动现场有超过75人参加本次分享,会议结束有许多老师继续与他们开展关于探究过程的讨论和交流,真正实现了交流分享的目的。
Ms. Michelle’s sharing is about how teachers can promote creative thinking through allowing children choice (agency). The ppt focuses on the four stages of creative thinking development which are based on children’s experiences and how teachers can facilitate student led participation. Children develop creative thinking skills through classrooms and school environments that invite student inquiry.
Michelle老师的分享是关于教师如何激发孩子的能动性,来促进创造性思维,创造性思维发展的四个阶段是基于儿童的经验和教师如何促进学生主导的参与,孩子们通过IB探究活动和探究游戏的环境发展创造性思维技能,本次分享引发了与会者们的广泛共鸣和热烈讨论。
