Of the trying Long March the Red Army makes light: Thousands of rivers and mountains are barriers slight. The five serpentine Ridges outspread like rippling rills; The pompous Wumeng peaks tower but like mole-hills.
Against warm cloudy cliffs beat waves of Golden Sand; With cold iron-chain bridge River Dadu is spanned. Glad to see the Min Range snow-clad for miles and miles, Our warriors who have crossed it break into broad smiles.

Forever red
I was born in China. I love my country deeply.
I heard from my grandfather about the founding of the party, and our great leader, Chairman Mao, He stood tall and upright like a mountain, he nourished us like water.
My mother showed me the beauty of our motherland, and we looked up to see the Five-Star Red Flag rising over this land. The red colour of the national flag symbolizes countless martyrs.
At night with a bright moon, my father told me many stories, such as Dong Cunrui sacrificing himself to blow up a fort, and Huang Jiguang sacrificing his life to block the gun barrel. These stories are deeply imprinted in my mind.
Our party, like a spark, has ignited a prairie fire that has opened a new chapter in China.
Our party is as firm as a mountain and as hopeful as light.
