尽管HUB在八月已向我们的社区首次展示，但十月的这一时刻让我们与协助创造这一全新学习空间的专家们共同庆祝它的正式开幕。全校师生齐聚HUB，共同铭刻下这个在NIS历史上具有里程碑意义的一天。
“We think of ideas, and we share those ideas,” said Mr. Laurie McLellan, NIS School Director, in a speech to the gathering of our inclusive learning community. “Then, after trial and error, we prototype those ideas. We try them out. And when we’ve done that, we implement what we’re going to do – we try those things for everybody. So what we made was the HUB. Now what we have to do is the same all over again, but this time it’s about how we all use the HUB.”
“我们集思广益，彼此分享灵感，”NIS总校长Laurie McLellan先生在致辞中对我们包容性学习社区的成员说道。“然后，在反复试错中，我们打磨出这些创意的雏形。我们付诸实践，深入探索。当万事俱备，我们便落实行动，迈向未来。每一次尝试，都是为了社区的每一位成员。HUB由此落成。如今，我们需要再次回到起点，但这一次，焦点在于我们如何共同使用这个空间。”
NIS leadership, along with Mr. Ewan McIntosh, CEO of NoTosh, and architects Mr. Philip Idle and Ms. Chloe Summers from EIW, cut the ribbons that symbolized the HUB’s official opening to Nanjing and the world. We thank everyone involved with this incredible, innovative project and can’t wait to see the new and exciting ways this ‘Third Teacher’ will continue to amplify learning at NIS.
在HUB的开幕仪式上，NIS的高级领导团队与NoTosh的首席执行官Ewan McIntosh先生，以及来自EIW的建筑师Philip Idle先生和Chloe Summers女士共同剪彩，象征着这一重要空间正式向来自南京及全球的NIS学子敞开大门。我们由衷感谢所有参与这一激动人心的创新项目的人们，并期待着这个学习的“第三位老师”将如何以全新而激励人心的方式，继续丰富NIS的学习体验。
