Shaping urban environments to improve respiratory health: recommendations for research, planning, and policy.Mark Nieuwenhuijsen, Audrey de Nazelle, Judith Garcia-Aymerich, Haneen Khreis, Barbara Hoffmann由于空气污染和人口密度大等环境条件,城市地区的急性(传染性)和慢性呼吸道疾病负担沉重。以汽车为主的城市往往缺乏步行区,这就减少了体育锻炼的机会,而体育锻炼对健康的肺部至关重要。可利用的绿地面积本来就有限,而且植物的选择往往很差,这可能会产生花粉,进而诱发或加重过敏性疾病。较不富裕的居民区往往承担着更大的呼吸道疾病负担。需要采取更多样化的政策措施和城市创新,以减少空气污染(如低排放区)、增加步行和骑自行车的公共空间(如低交通流量街区、超级街区、15 分钟城市和无车城市),以及发展绿色城市(如种植低过敏性树木)。更严格的欧盟空气质量标准可以推动这些变革,改善市民的呼吸健康。医学呼吸学会的宣传也能为这些变革做出重要贡献。
