Overview
Gain first-hand experience of working at DLA Piper with our in-person Shanghai Summer Internship. Our 2-months paid programme starts with an induction followed by time working in your chosen office location. The programme will provide you with opportunities to explore your interests and make informed career choices.
Your time with us
Our Shanghai Summer Internship is designed to give you an insight to what life at DLA Piper is really like.
The induction will allow you to meet new people and hear from senior members of the firm. You will discover more about the firm’s practice groups and sectors, our approach to radical change and technology, as well as diversity, equality, and inclusion. You will also spend time building your professional skills and workplace capabilities to ensure you have the best internship experience possible.
During your internship you’ll undertake work experience across our practice groups in your chosen office location.
What we look for
In addition to the eligibility criteria, we look for those with the behaviours, strengths and skills that will enable success at DLA Piper and within a legal career. These include, but are not limited to:
You are a law student from the PRC top tier law school, either in your penultimate or final year, and will graduate in 2025 You have an excellent command of both spoken and written English and Putonghua Mandarin Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills A self-starter who is highly motivated and pro-active with your learning You are available for a full-time internship during the 2024 summer vacation (July to August 2024) and the 2024 / 2025 school year
