Young teachers are the main force of the school's teaching team. 《稚子弄冰》是以古风的形式呈现,以学生为主导的课堂。辛老师以“诗歌学习七步法”为线索展开教学,采用了小组合作、课本剧表演、弄冰实践及唱读诗歌等多种形式教学,充分发挥了学生的能动性和积极性。这一堂课,就像一盏灯,照亮学生对诗歌的感知,激发他们对生活的热爱。


"The Child Playing Ice" is presented in the ancient style, with a student-centered classroom. Lily used the "Seven Step Method for Learning Poetry" as a clue to carry out teaching, using various forms of teaching such as group cooperation, textbook drama performance, experiment, and singing and reading poetry, fully tapping into the initiative and enthusiasm of students.

在TIS三年级的课堂中,学生们参与到了一个跨学科数学题的解答中。通过线索,学生们合作找到了解决方案。这项活动让每个学生都能做出贡献,促进团队合作和协作学习。在课堂上,老师指导他们理解核心概念,使这次的教学更具有教育性和互动性,同时提高了学生的数学技能、批判性思维和合作能力。


The TIS Grade 3 students engaged in a cross-curricular math mystery involving high-level problem-solving. By solving math clues, they collaborated to uncover the solution. This activity allowed every student to contribute, fostering teamwork and collaborative learning. The teacher guided them in understanding core concepts, making the experience both educational and interactive, while enhancing math skills, critical thinking, and cooperation.

《简单的机械—杠杆》这堂课以充满趣味和探索的形式呈现,完全以学生为核心展开。符老师围绕“杠杆探索五步法”进行教学,运用了小组实验、模型制作、生活实例探讨、杠杆游戏及创意设计等丰富多样的形式。


The class "Simple Machinery - Levers" is presented in a fun and exploratory form. Tinlok’s class is based around the "Five Step Method of Leveraging Exploration", using a variety of forms such as group experiments, model making, exploration of real-life examples, leverage games, and creative design.



在课堂上,学生们通过亲自操作小组实验,深入理解了杠杆的原理和作用;杠杆模型的使用让他们更直观地感受杠杆的结构;对生活中杠杆实例的探讨,使学生们意识到科学就在身边;杠杆公式推导增加了学习的趣味性和互动性充分激发了学生们的想象力和创造力。


In the classroom, students have gained a deeper understanding of the principle and function of leverage through hands-on group experiments; The use of leverage models allows them to have a more intuitive understanding of the structure of leverage; Exploring examples of leverage in daily life, making students aware that science is around them; The derivation of the lever formula has increased the fun and interactivity of learning, fully stimulating the imagination and creativity of students.

心理课《拥抱光,成为光》基于积极心理学和人际关系理论而设计,张老师借助“纸飞机”这个有趣的载体,展开了一场自由、趣味、深度、真诚的心灵互动。


In the mental health education of grade seven, the psychology class"Embrace the light, become the light" is based on the theory of positive psychology and interpersonal relations. Psychology teacher Miss Zhang held a free, fun, depth, and sincere activity of soul interaction. 



同学们通过纸飞机放飞烦恼,诚挚解答他人的“烦恼瞬间”,张老师引导学生们思考人际关系中容易忽略的微光时刻,营造互助温暖的课堂氛围,帮助学生成为光温暖他人,提高自我效能感,让学生们更有力量面对未来的一切挑战。


Students made their troubles fly away through the paper planes, and sincerely solved others' "Trouble moments”. Miss Zhang leads the students to think about the moments in interpersonal relationships that are easy to be neglected, and creates a warm atmosphere of mutual help in the class, which helping the students to become the light to warm others and improve their sense of self-efficacy. What’s more important is to give students more power to face all the challenges in the future.

在本节课中,学生们探讨了和平的本质。虽然整个故事情节较为复杂,但Adam老师巧妙地将课堂内容拆解为通俗易懂的故事,同时运用适合学生水平的英语教学,并适时加入中文单词(或者让学生翻译核心指令和概念)。最关键的是,Adam老师引入模拟游戏来让学生积极参与学习,使课堂变得更加生动有趣、真实和具有启发性。


This unit, students are inquiring into the nature of peace, While the whole story seems very complex, I have broken it down into simplified, class-sized stories; I use graded language and occasional Chinese words (or have students translate core instructions or concepts); and most importantly, I use simulation games to involve students in the learning and make it more engaging, authentic, visceral, and authentic.

教授科目 Course:十一年级中文班数学


本次课程主讲内容为高中数学的基本不等式。主要以引导,激发学生兴趣的形式展开探讨研究。洪老师首先以初中内容作为源头引入不等式,展开推导基本不等式全过程。针对各个细节进行分析。以小组为单位进行互问互答,以学生为主体形式的课堂架构,让学生充分融入课堂。


The main content of this course is the basic inequalities of high school mathematics. It is mainly explored and discussed in the form of guidance and stimulating students' interest. Mr. Hong begins by introducing the inequality from the junior high school content and then derives the entire process of the basic inequality. The details are analyzed one by one. The class structure is based on group work, where students ask and answer each other's questions, and the class is designed to allow students to fully participate in the class.

本次课程聚焦于海洋动物,采用全球视角进行教学。在课程开始之前,学生们已经选择了自己研究的海洋动物,并进行了相关研究,包括填写“已知-未知”(KW)图表,独立进行网络搜索,并做相应的笔记。教师利用学生对所选动物的了解,教授他们如何在海洋中可持续地捕鱼。本节课的目标是构建一个连贯的单元,使每一节课都能够与下一节课紧密相连。


The lesson at hand was Global Perspectives with a focus on Ocean Animals. Leading up to the lesson, students had been researching an ocean animal of their choice. This included filling out a KW chart, conducting independent internet research while taking point form notes. We finished off our lesson by using our knowledge of the animals to grasp as to how we can sustainably fish our oceans. My objective was to create a flowing unit with connections from each lesson to the next. The students proved they could take learning into the own hands and to make connections as to further their learning of the world around them.

圆锥与圆柱,这两种看似不同的形状,两者之间也存在着一定的联系。翟老师利用巧妙的方法使学生不仅熟练掌握了计算它们表面积和体积的公式,更通过图形展开,直观地理解了这些公式背后的几何意义。通过典型例题的对比分析,不仅停留在数字上,更深入到了空间概念的本质。激励学生们用智慧揭开数学的奥秘。


Cones and cylinders, these two different shapes, also have a certain connection between them. Lorraine used clever methods to enable students not only to proficiently master the formulas for calculating their surface area and volume, but also to intuitively understand the geometric meaning behind these formulas through graphic expansion. By comparing and analyzing typical examples, this class not only focused on numbers, but also the essence of spatial concepts.

在此次八年级数学课上,Basil老师和学生一起深入研究了二次函数及其实际应用,通过对炮弹的研究,学生加强了他们对二次方程的理解,并证明了二次函数与我们的现实世界息息相关。


In our recent Grade 8 math class, we delved into the exciting world of quadratic functions and their practical applications, particularly in the context of projectile motion. This lesson not only reinforced our understanding of quadratic equations but also illustrated their real-world relevance, bridging the gap between abstract mathematics and everyday experiences.

教授科目 Course:剑高10年级中文课


《顾城的诗》公开课通过小组合作的方式引导学生体会诗人内心情感世界并鼓励学生用诗歌的方式表达自己内心情感,深入解读了这位中国著名诗人的作品,感受到了诗歌蕴含的深邃意境与内心世界。通过这节课,学生们不仅提高了中文水平,还拓展了对中国文化的理解。公开课现场反响热烈,学生们对未来的顾城诗歌课程表现出极大兴趣。让我们今后一起继续探索这位诗人的艺术世界,领略中国文学的独特魅力。


The open class "Gu Cheng's Poetry" guided students to experience the inner emotional world of the poet through group collaboration and encouraged them to express their own inner feelings through poetry. The class delved deep into the works of this renowned Chinese poet, allowing students to feel the profound sentiments and inner world embodied in the poems. Through the lesson, students not only improved their Chinese proficiency but also broadened their understanding of Chinese culture. The open class was enthusiastically received, and students expressed great interest in future Gu Cheng poetry courses. Let's continue to explore the artistic world of this poet and appreciate the unique charm of Chinese literature in the future.
