为提高学生们的英语口语表达能力和自信心，为他们搭建一个展示自我、交流学习的舞台。近日，我校举办了英语演讲比赛。
To improve students' English expression ability and confidence, and to build a stage for them to showcase themselves. Recently, our school held an English speech competition.
5月30日上午，三亚外国语学校小学生英语演讲比赛在小剧场如期举行。此次比赛旨在同时庆祝我校建校十周年，展现我校英语教学成果和学生风采。
On the morning of May 30th, the English speech competition for primary school students at Sanya Foreign Language School was held as scheduled in the Mini theater. This competition is also a celebration for the 10th anniversary of our school's establishment, showcasing the achievements of our English teaching and the ability of our students.
经过班级初赛，来自小学部1-6年级的35名同学脱颖而出。决赛现场，小选手们齐聚一堂，他们用流利的英语、生动的表情和自信的姿态，为观众和评委们带来了一场场精彩绝伦的演讲。
After the preliminary round, 35 students from grades 1-6 in SLS primary stood out. At the finals, the young contestants gathered together, delivering brilliant speeches to the audience and judges with fluent English, vivid expressions, and confident postures.
选手们或讲述自己的探究学习故事，或分享中国传统文化如介绍对京剧、武术的喜爱，或表达对环保、贸易等话题的看法。演讲内容丰富多彩，充满童趣。同学们的演讲不仅展示了扎实的英语基本功，更展现了他们对世界的观察和思考。
Contestants shared their stories of exploration and learning traditional Chinese culture, such as their love for Peking Opera and martial arts, and express their views on topics such as environmental protection and trade. The speeches of the students not only demonstrated their English skills, but also demonstrated their observations and reflections on the world.
经过激烈的角逐，最终评选出了一、二、三等奖以及优秀奖若干名。
After an intense competition, the first, second, and third prizes, as well as several outstanding awards, were ultimately selected.
获奖选手们纷纷表示，此次比赛让他们收获了成长和自信，也激发了他们继续努力学习英语的热情。
The award-winning contestants all expressed that this competition has brought them growth and confidence, and has also stimulated their enthusiasm to continue working hard to learn English.
小学校长Lora校长及评委老师为获奖选手们颁发了奖杯和奖品大礼包，对他们的表现给予肯定。

中学部邀请中学部校长董校、井校，教学主任崔雪莹，英语教师袁艺桐，孙晓宁，朱雅琴，Mr. Basil 和Mr. Alvaro构成演讲比赛评委组。从选手们的演讲内容，演讲技能，流利程度，时间管理等方面进行了评分。
The high school department invites principal Charles and principal Jing, Evelyn, Yuan Yitong, Sun Xiaoning, Zhu Yaqin, Mr. Basil and Mr. Alvaro forms the judging panel for the speech competition. The contestants were rated in terms of their speech content, speaking skills, fluency, time management, and other aspects.
中学生们围绕着“Chinese Culture，World Heritage”的主题，颂祖国，赞家乡，歌唱“中国梦”、“海南梦”，讲述中国故事、红色故事。他们用自己的英语表能力，表达了作为三亚外国学校学子传承中国文化的决心。也向同学们展现了奋发图强，积极向上，不畏困难，勇于表达的新时代外语学子的面貌。让我们一起来回顾部分选手的精彩瞬间：

After intense competition, the judging panel selected one first prize for individual, and one for group, two second prizes for individual and group, and three third prizes for individual and group.

The English Speech Competition at Sanya Foreign Language School has come to a perfect end. The outstanding performance of the contestants not only showcases the quality and style of our teaching, but also deepens their understanding of the importance of spoken English.
