联动教研,交流互鉴。5月24日,张艳玲小学英语卓越教师工作室成员来到我校小学部进行了学科融合项目化学习的集中研讨交流活动,亲身体验了我校在国际文凭组织(IB)理念下的教育实践。
On May 24th, members of Zhang Yanling Primary School English Experts came to SLS primary to conduct a discussion on subject integration and project-based learning, and th group of experts experienced the educational practice of our school under the concept of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB).
工作室的老师们深入课堂,观摩了我校老师的课堂教学。
在三亚外国语学校小学部的探究课堂上,语言是学习的基石。教师引导学生围绕各种探究主题进行多元化的学习和探索活动,激发他们用好奇心和实际行动去认知和了解周围的世界。
The teachers of the workshop went to our classrooms and observed the our teaching.
In the classroom, language is the cornerstone of learning. Teachers guide students to engage in a variety of learning and exploration activities on various topics of inquiry, stimulating them to use curiosity and practical actions to recognize and understand the world around them.
深入课堂·观摩学习
在Peter老师的单元探究(UOI)课堂上,主题是探索区域性贸易。老师为学生准备了关于EEA(欧洲经济区)、APTA(亚太贸易协定)、CUSMA(美墨加贸易协定)和ATISA(东盟服务贸易协定)的四份区域性贸易材料。学生们分组自主研究什么是区域性贸易,并在地图上标出涉及贸易协定的国家。小组在阅读和讨论后,向全班同学分享了不同区域性贸易协定的知识以及加入区域性贸易组织的好处。
In teahcer Peter's Unit of Inquiry (UOI) class, the theme is exploring regional trade. The teacher prepared four regional trade materials for the students on the EEA (European Economic Area), APTA (Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement), CUSMA (United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement), and ATISA (ASEAN Agreement on Trade in Services). Students work in groups to independently research what regional trade is and to map the countries involved in trade agreements. After reading and discussing, each group shared with the class the knowledge of different RTAs and the benefits of joining a RTO.
为了让学生们探究本地贸易、区域性贸易和国际贸易之间的差异,老师将学生分为四组,并给他们一些商品。学生们按照小组内、两组之间、全班之间的模式进行物品交易,模拟本地贸易、区域性贸易和国际贸易。通过这种方式,学生们在一次次的物品交换中,获得了更心仪的物品,满意度逐渐提升,进而加深了对不同贸易体系的理解。
In order for the students to explore the differences between local, regional, and international trade, teacher Peter divided the students into four groups and gave them some goods. Students trade items within small groups, between two groups, and within the class, simulating local, regional, and international trade. In this way, the students were able to obtain more desirable items in the exchange of goods, and their understanding of the trade system is during the process.
在Enid老师的单元探究(UOI)课堂上,主题是探索支配金钱的方式。老师为学生准备了关于金钱支配的不同渠道如“投资、存储、购物、帮助他人,分享”等概念。学生们分组自主探究分享自己实际生活中与此概念相关的经历,并在大卡纸上写出对概念的理解。小组在分享和讨论后,向全班同学分享了生活中所体验的与探究可是所学习到的概念的相关性。
In Mrs. Enid's Unit Inquiry (UOI) class, the theme is to explore ways to spend money. She prepared the students with different ways to use their money, such as "investing, saving, shopping, helping others, sharing", etc. Students work in groups to explore and share their real-life experiences related to the concept and write their understanding of the concept on a piece of paper. After discussing, each group shared with the class the relevance of what they experienced in their lives to the concepts they had learned.
为了让学生们探究支配金钱的不同方式可以带来不同的价值体验,老师将学生分为四组并给他们一些棒棒糖。学生们在组内进行分享,当感受到了分享的喜悦后,老师们又发给孩子们更多的棒棒糖,学生们不约而同地起身向教室里的老师分享棒棒糖,并且表达分享的喜悦。学生们在分享过程中感受到了的富足,并通过分享把这份富足传递给周围的人,学生们因此加深对金钱价值的理解。
In order for the students to understand that different ways of spending money can lead to different value, the teacher divided students into four groups and gave them some lollipops. The students shared in the group, and when they felt the joy of sharing, the teachers gave more lollipops to the children, and the students invariably got up to share the lollipops with the teachers in the classroom, and expressed the joy of sharing.
校园参观·感受氛围
课程结束后,工作室成员参观了校园各地。令老师们赞叹不已的是,校园的每个地方都充满了IB主题项目的文化创设,营造了浓厚的文化氛围。
After the course, they toured around the campus. To the amazement of the visitors, every part of the campus is filled with IB-themed projects.
研讨交流·分享展示
在分享环节,两位学生代表展示了他们在我校学习的IB探究项目,并分别介绍了自己的探究主题,分享了在项目过程中的思考、实践和收获。
In the sharing session, the two student representatives presented their IB inquiry projects in our school, introduced their own inquiry themes, and shared their thinking, practice and gains in the process of the project.
教师代表Phoebe分享了在IB课程实践中积累的经验,介绍了如何将IB教学理念融入到各学科教学中,以促进学生全面发展。
Phoebe, a teacher representative, shared her experience in the practice of the IB curriculum and introduced how to integrate the IB teaching philosophy into the teaching of various subjects to promote the all-round development of students.
刘校代表三亚外国语学校小学部对优秀教师队伍一行的到来表示热烈欢迎,并对张老师的认可和支持深表感谢。她表示,我校作为IB世界学校的一员,致力于推行超学科探究,让孩子们通过好奇心和实际行动探索世界。学校非常重视此次与张老师和其优秀教师队伍的交流和学习机会。
On behalf of SLS primary, principal Lora extended a warm welcome to the outstanding teachers and expressed her deep gratitude to Mr. Zhang for their recognition and support. She said that as a member of the IB World Schools, our school is committed to promoting transdisciplinary inquiry, allowing children to explore the world through curiosity and action. The school attaches great importance to this exchange and learning opportunity with Ms. Zhang and her excellent teaching team.
Lindsay主任详细介绍了IB课程,并表示教育不是注满一桶水,而是点燃一把火。我们老师要做的不是向学生灌输知识,而是激发学生的潜能、好奇心、创造力和批判性思维,鼓励学生自主探索和学习,而不是让学生被动的接受知识。通过点燃学生的兴趣,引导学生主动探索未知。
Director Lindsay gave a detailed introduction to the IB curriculum and said that education is not just about teaching knowledge to students, but about enabling them to deal with challenges in life. As teachers, we need to stimulate students' potential, curiosity, creativity and critical thinking, and encourage students to explore and learn independently.
通过他们的分享,工作室老师们对国际文凭(IB)探究教育有了更加深刻的理解,纷纷就此次观摩的感受发表自己的感想,并对我校学生们独立思考、解决问题和创新能力的发展表示了赞赏。
Through our sharing, those visiting teachers gained a deeper understanding of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Inquiry Education and expressed their thoughts on the experience of the observation.
张艳玲老师最后做总结发言,鼓励英语教师要多看,多听,多学习,尽自己最大的可能给学生提供不一样的英语课堂。
Finally, Mrs. Zhang made a concluding speech, encouraging teachers to watch, listen, learn and do their best to provide students with customized English classes.
我校秉持的先进教育理念和独特的教学方法给各位老师留下了深刻的印象,工作室的老师们纷纷表示,此次学习听课之旅受益匪浅,希望今后能有更多这样的交流机会。

The teachers of the workshop say that they have benefited a lot from this study trip and hope to have more such exchange opportunities in the future.
