2024年5月30日,海南三亚外籍人员子女学校的同学们一起走进了槟榔谷。这里有超过3000年历史的黎族村落,是海南独有的少数民族,也是海南岛最早居民,其中黎族纹面承载着母系氏族至今的历史,是民族文化的“活化石”。在这里,同学们可以深入了解当地黎族的丰富文化遗产。


On 30th May, 2024, students from The International School of Sanya (TIS) enjoyed an educational field trip to Betel Nut Valley, a captivating cultural attraction that offers a deep dive into the rich heritage of the indigenous Li ethnic group. Situated on a site with over 3000 years of history going back to the earliest residents of Hainan Island, the ethnic group's lineage carries history to the present day as a "living fossil" of ethnic culture. Here, students gained a deeper understanding of the rich cultural heritage of the local Li ethnic group.



在非遗文化馆,同学们参观了国家级非物质文化遗产项目。在这里,同学们可以看到世界上最大最精美的龙被,感受山栏文化、图腾艺术文化、黎族陶艺文化等,从各个方面了解黎族的历史与传统文化。


At the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, students visited national intangible cultural heritage projects. Here, students saw the world's largest and most exquisite dragon quilts, experienced the culture of mountain railings, totem art, and ethnic pottery, and learnt about various aspects of the history and traditional culture of the Li ethnic group.





同学们还通过古韵舞蹈表演,了解黎族多年来的传统技艺和文化。钻木取火、织锦、舂米、演奏竹木乐器、打柴舞等黎族人生产、生活场景。节奏明快,场面震撼,呈现一副少数民族劳作耕种,人与自然和谐共生的原生态场面,仿佛是走入了一个微缩版的黎族社会。

Students also learned about the traditional skills of the Li ethnic group over the years through dance performances. Exhibits included drilling wood for fire, weaving brocade, pounding rice, playing bamboo and wood instruments, and firewood dancing. The fabulous light and fire show witnessed by students presented a traditional scene of the Li ethnic group working and farming, and highlighted the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, as they entered a miniature theatrical version of the Li ethnic society.



中午,同学们一起品尝黎族簸箕餐,不仅丰盛美味,还融合了黎族的独特特色,在享受美食的同时,更深入地了解黎族文化。

The students sampled various Li ethnic food together for lunch, which not only tasted delicious, but also integrated the unique characteristics of the Li ethnic group. While enjoying the food, they gained a deeper understanding of the Li ethnic culture.



甘什黎村,感受黎族原住民的生活文化气息。船型木屋、水井,纺车、谷仓,无一不在诉说着村子一段段悠久的岁月,原滋原味的向同学们展示着黎族人家的风土人情。

In Ganshili Village, students were immersed in the cultural atmosphere of the Li indigenous people's lives. Boat shaped wooden houses, water wells, spinning wheels, and granaries all tell the story of the village's long history, showcasing local customs and traditions of the ethnic group to students in an authentic and meaningful way.



在非遗村,学生们亲手体验了扎染的制作过程,从选材、浸泡、捆扎,到染色、晾干,每一步都充满力量乐趣和挑战。作为中国非物质文化遗产的一部分,它不仅仅是一种技艺,更是一种传承和文化的延续。


In the intangible cultural heritage village, students personally experienced the production process of tie dyeing, from material selection, soaking, bundling, to dyeing and drying, each step was full of fun and challenges. As a part of China's intangible cultural heritage, it was not only an activity to develop a new skill, but also a continuation of the historic culture of Hainan Island.

通过这次的槟榔谷研学活动,同学们感受到了文化的魅力,体验了非遗的神奇。不仅学到了知识,更收获了对大自然的敬畏和传统文化的尊重。


Through this field trip to Betel Nut Valley, students enjoyed the charm and idiosyncrasies of Li ethnic culture and experienced the magic of intangible cultural heritage. Not only did they learn and gain knowledge, but they also gained a newfound respect for nature and traditional culture.
