Beijing's time-honored brands participated in the 7th China International Import Expo, showcasing their long history, traditional culture and innovative products. Their exhibition focused on time-honored brands along the Beijing Central Axis, showcasing products representing the area’s intangible cultural heritage.

北京老字号以集中亮相形式参展第七届中国国际进口博览会人文交流板块，展示北京老字号悠久历史底蕴、优秀传统文化和创新发展成果。适逢中轴线申遗成功之年，此次展区以中轴线上老字号为主进行展览展示，老字号企业、京企直卖等20余家品牌企业携百余件产品亮相，展示创新特色产品和非遗技艺。

On November 6, more than 160 exquisite intangible cultural heritage works were unveiled at the Beijing Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Center. In the past two months, more than 50 intangible cultural heritage inheritors in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region have designed souvenirs integrating traditional skills with modern design concepts.

6日，160余件精美的非遗文创作品在北京非遗体验中心亮相。这是2024北京非遗传承人文创班与图案班结业作品的集中展示，在过去两个月里，50余名京津冀地区非遗传承人共同学艺，在高校和行业专家指导下，将传统技艺与现代设计理念融合，设计接地气的文创作品。

Beijing has 144 state-level representative intangible cultural heritage IPs and 303 municipal-level representative intangible cultural heritage IPs, 13 of which are listed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, ranking first in China.

北京地区有国家级非遗代表性项目144项、市级非遗代表性项目303项。13个项目入选联合国教科文组织“人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录”，数量居全国第一。

Beijing plans to develop its 6G industry, focusing on intelligent base stations and core network equipment. At the same time, combined with application scenarios such as the Internet of Vehicles, a demonstration application project driven by vertical industry needs will be created.

按照今年出台的《北京6G科技创新与产业培育行动方案》，下一步北京将引导6G产业创新超前布局，攻关特色智能基站和核心网络设备，打造新型终端产品体系等。同时充分结合北京车联网、低空经济等丰富的应用场景，打造以垂直行业需求牵引的应用示范工程，吸引全球优势科技资源及产业资源向北京集聚。6G，即第六代移动通信标准，也被称为第六代移动通信技术。6G的网络与5G相比在速率、时延、可靠性等诸多性能指标上有颠覆性的提升。“快”是6G最突出的特点，6G的速率较5G将大幅提升10倍以上。

Beijing has developed more than 500 new flower varieties with independent intellectual property rights and over 400 key flower growing technologies, focusing on research and development of chrysanthemums, roses, lilies, and flower beds. 

截至目前，北京研发具有自主知识产权花卉新品种超过500个，花卉集成关键技术400余项，特别是集中开展菊花、月季、百合、花坛花境等八大类育种研发工作。

The China Great Wall Museum is undergoing renovation, with its main structure planned to be completed by May 2025. The entire 27,000 square meters project will be completed in December next year. It includes a collection storage area, an exhibition area, an education and service area. 

中国长城博物馆改造提升工程正式进入建筑主体施工阶段，项目建设进度达30%。明年5月，博物馆将实现主体结构封顶，12月全部竣工。项目用地面积2.7万平方米，总建筑面积1.6万平方米。项目将建设博物馆建筑单体一座，包括藏品库区、藏品技术区、陈列展览区、教育与服务区、业务与研究区、行政管理区等。

In late autumn, migratory birds in Beijing hurry south. On November 4, more than 8,200 migratory birds were monitored in Beijing's Guanting Reservoir in one day. The peak migration this year is expected to occur around November 15.

深秋时节，候鸟加快了南下迁徙的节奏。11月4日，黑豹野生动物保护站在官厅水库监测到迁徙候鸟8200多只。每年候鸟迁徙峰值跟天气、候鸟家庭健康状况等因素有关，预计今年高峰将在11月15日左右出现。

Two routes in Beijing's Changping District were selected as China's finest cycling routes in 2024. The 12.98 kilometers route circling the Ming Tombs Reservoir was selected for the first time. The route also passes through natural scenery making it an ideal place to observe wildlife.

中国自行车运动协会日前发布《2024中国骑行地图——百条精品骑行路线》，北京昌平2条骑行路线入选，环十三陵水库骑行路线为首次入选，“绿氧益行艺览昌平”路线则是连续两年入选。环十三陵水库骑行路线全长约12.98公里，起点设在水库东路，沿途经过美丽的十三陵水库，最终返回至起点。这里不仅文化底蕴深厚，周边生态环境也十分良好，是观察野生动植物的理想之地。

The two-month-long 2024 Liangma River International Art Festival concluded on November 6. This year's event attracted more than 31,000 artists from 30 countries who participated in 200 performances viewed by 626,000 audiences.

Renmin University of China released a report on the physical health index of Beijing's urban population. The data showed that among those aged 30 to 59, women's physical health was better than men's. Among people over 60, men scored higher than women.

5日，中国人民大学统计学院发布北京城市体检人群体质健康质量指数报告。数据显示，在30岁至59岁体检人群中，女性体质健康质量指数得分要高于男性，而60岁以上体检人群中，男性得分高于女性。
