量表维度:The HIV-Related Hope Interview utilizes a semi-structured open-question format.

• Please tell me a little bit about your life now.

• Sometimes people talk about how they have a story; can you begin by telling me a little bit, starting after you thought you were HIV-positive, about your story?

• What were some of the things that helped you after you thought you may be HIV-positive?

• What were some of the things that you did to cope?

• On a scale of one to 10 (i.e. one being no hope and 10 being highly hopeful), what was your level of hope before you were diagnosed (e.g. one year, six months, two weeks)? After your diagnosis? Now? What have been some of the things that have changed it over time?

• If you were to meet someone newly diagnosed, what would you want them to know so that they could have hope?

• What have you learned about hope through this interview?
