On September 13, Beijing United Family Hospital of Integrative Medicine (DCU) received a significant upgrade: installing a DaVinci Robotic Surgical System. This is the second DaVinci robot at United Family, the first being installed at the main hospital almost ten years ago.
United Family Healthcare Beijing has simultaneously acquired both the Da Vinci Si and Xi models of surgical robots, becoming the first non-public medical institution in Beijing to be equipped with dual DaVinci surgical robots.
Previously, on July 3, Beijing United Family Hospital successfully completed its 1,000th robotic surgery and was officially designated as the DaVinci Surgical Robot Demonstration Center for Non-Public Medical Institutions in China.
As a comprehensive hospital actively exploring the integration of Traditional Chinese and Western medical practices and United Family's newest facility, DCU continuously introduces medical technologies that are on the cutting edge and able to enhance the patient experience.
DaVinci robotic surgery allows for higher precision, smaller cuts, and faster recovery, providing the patient with more ideal treatment outcomes.
Beijing United Family DaVinci Surgical Team
After nine years of development, Beijing United Family Hospital has established a team of surgeons trained to utilize the DaVinci robots across several specialties. Combined with the concept of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS), this helps doctors better perform complex surgeries while also reducing patients' postoperative recovery time.
The multidisciplinary team gathers experienced surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and operating room technical support personnel. Through close cooperation, they continuously improve their technical ability and fully safeguard every aspect of surgery, from preoperative assessment to postoperative recovery, providing patients with a comfortable and reassuring surgical experience.
