Our Pharmacy has prepared answers to some of the most common questions we receive. If you have further questions, please consult a doctor or confirm with a nurse before vaccination.
The composition of the quadrivalent influenza vaccine includes the A(H3N2) subtype, A(H1N1)pdm09 subtype, and B(Victoria) lineage, B(Yamagata) lineage, which means that on the basis of the previous trivalent vaccine, the prevention of one additional dominant strain of the B-type influenza virus has been added.
According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization, compared to the previous influenza season, the composition of this year's influenza vaccine has changed for the A(H3N2) type virus, which has been changed from the "A/Darwin/9/2021(H3N2)-like virus" to the "A/Thailand/8/2022(H3N2)-like virus."
◉ Adults: Everyone over 3 years old receives a single shot.
◉ Toddlers:For toddlers 6-35 months old, there are two shots done over a period of four weeks.
Guidelines, both domestically and internationally, recommend that pregnant women can receive the flu vaccine at any stage of pregnancy. Considering the physical condition of different vaccine recipients, please consult a doctor for a benefit/risk assessment and follow medical advice for vaccination.
Similarly, it is recommended that breastfeeding mothers consult with a doctor for a benefit/risk assessment before deciding whether to get vaccinated, in order to better protect themselves and their babies. After all, babies under 6 months who cannot receive the vaccine still rely on the antibodies passed through breast milk after their mothers have been vaccinated to gain protection.

When receiving different inactivated vaccines, it is recommended to have
a two-week interval, so that if any discomfort occurs, it can be
accurately determined which vaccine caused it.
