The Autumn Issue is Available Now

文摘   2024-11-25 17:05   上海

The autumn season brings the winding down of the natural world around us. Temperatures drop, leaves change color and fall, and we humans hibernate in the warm indoors. This seasonal cycle coming to a close is a great reminder about the ebb and flow of the environment and offers a time to reflect on our role in its stewardship.

In this issue, we look at the perennial topic of sustainability. The cover story (16) dives into how we can live our lives more sustainably at home. The education feature (28) looks at all the ways sustainability is being taught in schools and highlights the students and staff who are leading the charge. We also explore little ways you can bring nature into city life with tips on starting your own indoor garden. (54)

The autumn is also a time when schools welcome back students to campus and kick start a new academic year. In our feature stories, we ask whether sending your kid abroad for schooling is a good fit (21), and reflect on how to find success in college applications by staying true to yourself. (24)

With the winter break fast approaching, we tag along for a trip to Vietnam to get some travel inspiration (42), as well as reflect on the memories of the hot and hazy summer that just passed in the mom blog. (44)

As always, we hope you enjoy this issue of Shanghai Family.
