Chinese Medicine and Culture《中医药文化》专刊征稿Special Issue中医药的翻译与全球交流:历史与当代视角 Translation and Global Communication of Traditional Chinese Medicine: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives
Throughout history and into the present, TCM's journey across cultures highlights its adaptability and integration into diverse medical landscapes worldwide. TCM concepts and practices are embraced, adapted, and integrated into various cultural contexts, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration. Amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, TCM has made unique contributions in prevention, treatment, and recovery. However, challenges persist across different fronts: accurately translating ancient texts into modern languages and developing strategies for translating TCM terminology to bridge linguistic and cultural gaps, enhancing international cooperation and initiatives in TCM education, research, and practice, as well as ensuring clarity and consistency in sharing centuries-old knowledge with a global audience, etc. It is crucial to thoroughly explore how TCM is understood, translated, and practiced from both historical and contemporary viewpoints.
