Scarlett Johansson Leads Avengers Charge To Save America: Vote For Kamala Harris!
Scarlett Johansson was on a mission, gathering her 'Avengers' squad for an urgent pow-wow -- and it wasn't about saving the world this time, but to endorse Kamala Harris.
The superhero squad was back in action, with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle, Danai Gurira, and Paul Bettany joining ScarJo to rally voters against Trump, all just days before the big election showdown.
The superhero squad hyped the video, dubbing it the "Election Endgame" and going ga-ga over their newly formed tagline, "Down For Democracy."
It's all fun and games, complete with dramatic superhero music in the background, but the underlying message is crystal clear -- they're urging everyone to vote for Kamala!
Don’t sit this one out. It’s the one where we will lose big: Project 2025, women’s reproductive rights, climate change, LGBTQIA+ rights, public education, student debt relief, Affordable Care Act, Social Security, and as of today, life saving vaccines. This shit is real and it’s…

Mark Ruffalo also delivered a passionate plea on X, stressing that a vote for Kamala would help steer crucial issues like women's reproductive rights, climate change, and LGBTQIA+ rights in a positive direction for America's future.
Scarlett Johansson is rounding up her fellow “Avengers” to mobilize ahead of Election Day.
Johansson called upon her Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) costars Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Chris Evans, Danai Gurira, Mark Ruffalo and Paul Bettany to encourage their collective followers to vote in the election in a new video posted to Downey Jr.’s Instagram page on Thursday.
“Scarlett, it is our pleasure to come together and to get the vote out this election,” Gurira said on the call.
In the video, the group of actors began to brainstorm some superhero-themed catchphrases for Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.
After some clever ideas, including “Kamala Forever” – a play on Marvel’s blockbuster “Black Panther” franchise – the stars ultimately landed on: “I’m Kamala Harris and I’m down with democracy.”
The group of actors has appeared – together and separately – in several MCU movie franchises, culminating in the 2019 epic “Avengers: Endgame,” which drew an estimated $644 million at the worldwide box office during its opening weekend and went on to amass $2.8 billion worldwide.
The assembly of the “Avengers” actors comes as the race between Harris and former President Donald Trump heats up just five days until Election Day. They were the latest celebrities to offer the Harris-Walz ticket their support.

‘The Avengers’ Stars Reunite to Brainstorm a Catchphrase for Kamala Harris Ahead of Election
Scarlett Johansson helped organize the new get-out-the-vote video with fellow Marvel stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle, Danai Gurira and Paul Bettany.
As Election Day nears, Scarlett Johansson had her fellow Avengers join forces for a get-out-the-vote video.
In a video shared by Vanity Fair, Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle, Danai Gurira and Paul Bettany came together on a Zoom call to brainstorm a new catchphrase for Kamala Harris as she takes on Donald Trump. Some of their suggestions referenced moments from their respective movies, including Iron Man and Black Panther.
“It just immediately turned into people trying to one-up each other with one-liners,” Johansson told the magazine about the video. “Robert and Mark, bickering like two old ladies. And, of course, I’m the person that’s just trying to organize everybody. It’s very similar to what our dynamic is in the films. It was wonderful to feel everybody assemble around it, and hopefully it will engage our fans in the process of voting.”
While it can be a daunting challenge to get everyone’s schedules to align for a project like this, the Fly Me to the Moon star said she’s actually never “gotten so many immediate responses from these people” after she pitched the idea in their Avengers group text.
“Everybody is so busy and insanely spread out. Chris is shooting a movie in Bulgaria. Robert is currently treading the planks on Broadway. Mark is doing a movie. Danai is canvassing in Atlanta. Don is, I don’t know, probably on a golf course somewhere,” she joked. “I was in the Grand Canyon. We were somehow able to get everybody on Zoom at the same time, which was crazy and hilarious.”
While Johansson acknowledges that people are still processing “a tumultuous several years,” she urges them to keep their focus on the future when casting their vote this year.
“You’re not really voting for four years, you’re voting for eight. I’ve certainly met people who are just disenfranchised. They feel very much like there’s some inevitable outcome,” the Black Widow star said. “That kind of fatigue is what leads to complacency. I just hope people exercise their right to vote and participate, especially young people, because obviously it’s their future.”
Johansson added that she’s endorsing Harris because “kindness is a very important factor in who I would like to see running this country. Compassion is also another very important quality, which she has. Trump — I think he’s maybe incapable of feeling that feeling. The terrifying piece is to have a leader that is not capable of compassion.”
