【10.31 截止】先进热电材料 - RSC Adv 专辑征稿

英国皇家化学会化学科学开放获取期刊 RSC Advances 近期发布「先进热电材料」(Advanced materials for thermoelectric systems) 专题合辑的征稿通知,向本领域的广大科研工作者征集投稿,至 10 月 31 日截止。
这本专题合辑由中国江苏大学朱脉勇副教授,澳大利亚伍伦贡大学  JungHo Kim 教授和沙特法赫德国王石油与矿业大学 Hafiz Muhammad Ali 博士担任客座编辑。

引言(编者按)

为实现双碳目标(碳达峰和碳中和),除了开发更多的绿色能源技术,提高现有能源效率同样紧要。热电材料能够收集废热并将其转化为电能,因而受到极大关注,有望在依赖人体与环境温度梯度的自供能可穿戴电子设备中发挥重要作用。此外,由于这种材料具有高冷却功率密度和小型化并集成到芯片中的潜力,热电系统为先进微电子/光电子设备的热管理提供了一种紧凑的全固态解决方案。由于我们周围存在丰富的热源,例如太阳能、地热、微波辐射等,热电系统还可以提供更多利用可再生清洁能源的可能。过去几十年中,我们见证了热电研究在创新概念、提高传统热电材料性能的策略和先进材料系统方面的重大成就。
值得注意的是,尽管我们在热电系统领域取得了显著进展,目前仍面临许多挑战。例如,当前热电材料的低效率和高成本限制了其实际中广泛的应用。需要跨学科的努力来解决这些问题并探索高性能热电材料。改进现有热电材料需要热传递、微电子、固态物理、合成化学和纳米科学等不同领域的知识和技术。此外,还需要进一步开发相关技术,并深入考虑实际需求,特别是需要揭示一些原位技术背后的科学原理。
鉴于上述背景,这一期关于热电系统先进材料的专题合辑具有重要意义,重点突出与热电系统相关研究的最新关键进展,涵盖所有热电系统的设计、增强和应用。欢迎广大研究人员提交原创研究和综述文章,研究主题包括但不限于:
      • 新型热电材料的合成与表征
      • 提高传统热电材料性能的策略
      • 用于工业废热回收的热电系统
      • 热电发电机
      • 热电冷却设备
      • 热电池的电解质
      • 热充电电池
      • 热自供能设备

客座编辑

朱脉勇 副教授

江苏大学

朱脉勇,副教授、硕士生导师。2011 年毕业于扬州大学物理化学专业,获理学博士学位;2012 年 9 月入职江苏大学,从事材料科学与工程的教学与科研工作,2015 年 7 月晋升副教授。近年来,主要围绕环境处理、绿色化工催化、高效能量存储开展研究。研究内容包括铁氧体纳米材料、功能高分子、炭基材料等。在 ACS Appl. Mate. Interfaces; J. Mater. Chem. A; Mater. Chem. Front.; Catal. Sci. Technol.; J. Phys. Chem. C; Nanoscale 等国际主流刊物发表研究论文 50 余篇,授权中国发明专利 3 项。

Prof. JungHo Kim

University of Wollongong

Professor Jung Ho Kim is a full-time Professor at the Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Materials (ISEM), Australian Institute for Innovative Materials (AIIM), University of Wollongong (UOW), Australia. He received the Bachelor’s (1998), Master’s (2000), and PhD (2005) degrees from Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. Since April 2005, he has been a full-time Research Associate at UOW under Prof. Shi Xue Dou’s supervision. He received an Australian Research Council (ARC) Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship (APD) for four years (2008-2011). Subsequently, he received an ARC Future Fellowship (FT) for five years (2012-2016). In addition, he received a first-chief investigator (CI) in ARC Discovery Project, co-CI in four ARC Linkage Projects, ARC Linkage Infrastructure project, and five international research grants. Since 2015, he has been a tenured Professor at UOW. Professor Kim has established research collaboration/dual-PhD programs and MOU with National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), South Korea, and Hanyang University South Korea, since 2016. Professor Kim is currently acting as Editorial Board and Associate Editor such as Advisory Board Member for Materials Future (IOP), Guest Editor for EcoMat (Wiley), Guest Editor for ChemNanoMat (Wiley), Associate Editor for Science Technology of Advanced Materials (Talyor&Francis), and Associate Editor for Scientific Reports (NPG). Professor Kim is a 2021 highly cited researcher in cross-field. He has worked on energy harvesting and storage devices. For the past 17 years, he has published over 240 peer-reviewed SCI journal articles. His research has been cited more than 18,000, and the h-factor is > 68.

Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Ali

King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals

Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Ali, currently working as an associate professor of Mechanical Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia. His fields of research are thermal sciences and heat transfer with focus on electronics cooling, condensation, nanofluids, heat transfer devices, and thermal management. Over the span of several years, he supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students and his work produced more than 230 papers featured in various reputed international journals. He has participated at several international and national conferences as an invited speaker and delivered various keynote talks.

Accepted manuscripts will be published in a regular issue of the journal as soon as possible and then added to the themed collection on the journal webpage.
