当今最大的挑战之一是收集和储存能源。太阳是地球的终极能源,因此,以光作为能量输入源是非常理想的。分子光开关可以在两种状态之间切换,在储能方面具有巨大的潜力。本专题的征稿主题包括但不限于:
光开关的设计、合成和表征

Rachel grew up in South Wales. Following undergraduate (MChem) and graduate studies (PhD) in Swansea University, she undertook a short postdoctoral fellowship in the Marie Curie Training network CIPSNAC, spending time in the University of Coimbra, Portugal (Prof. Maria Miguel) and the Université Paris-Sud, France (Prof. Françoise Livolant). She returned to Portugal in 2008 with an independent FCT postdoctoral fellowship jointly between the University of Coimbra and University of Aveiro. In 2009 she cut this fellowship short to take up a contract lectureship at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. She was appointed the Ussher Assistant Professor of Device Fabrication in 2011, elected to Fellowship in 2015 and promoted to Associate Professor in 2016. She moved to the University of Cambridge in 2017, where she holds the position of Professor of Materials Chemistry. Rachel is also a Fellow and Director of Studies (Materials) at Jesus College, Cambridge.
Grace was born and raised in South Korea where she attended POSTECH and received BS in Chemistry. She spent a year in UC Berkeley and worked in the laboratory of Prof. Jeffrey Long to perform research in metal-organic frameworks. Then she pursued PhD in Chemistry at MIT with Prof. Timothy Swager, and her thesis focused on the development of n-type organic chromophores for photovoltaics. Grace joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT as a postdoctoral associate with Prof. Jeffrey Grossman in 2015, where she explored various research areas including solar thermal fuels, 2D materials, and atomic-resolution imaging of nanostructures. Grace joined the Department of Chemistry at Brandeis in July 2018 and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with tenure (effective July 2024).
李涛,理学博士,上海交通大学化学化工学院教授,博士生导师。2005年本科毕业于北京航空航天大学材料科学与工程学院,2010年博士毕业于中国科学院化学研究所,同年赴丹麦哥本哈根大学从事博士后研究工作,2013年8月起任哥本哈根大学化学系助理教授。2015年获“海外高层次人才引进计划”资助加入上海交通大学开展独立科研工作至今。专注于有机功能材料特别是新型光开关分子的设计合成及其在分子电子学、分子光储能等领域的应用,迄今在J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Nat. Commun., Adv. Mater.等高水平杂志发表学术论文70余篇,主编英文专著《Nanogap Electrodes》(Wiley-VCH),参与编写中文专著2部,授权PCT美国专利1项和中国发明专利3项。科研工作获得国家自然科学委优秀青年科学基金项目(2020)、面上项目(3项)、国家重点研发计划青年科学家项目、上海市“曙光计划”项目等支持。入选2020年度英国皇家化学会材料化学领域新锐科学家。
