本次展览由策展人梁爽策划，将回顾艺术家为期8年的“啊打”系列作品及其延展。“大则无外，小则无内”，自“啊打”系列以来，马可鲁完全走出了以往对任何绘画体系的研究，从对具体绘画语言的探索转移到自我内在状态与精神世界的表现。以画面为对象的“空无”中，蕴藏着其过往40年的人生阅历，及对“逸品”境界的洒然追求。
This exhibition assembles works by MA Kelu from the past eight years and will retrace the "Ada" series and its extensions. Since the "Ada" series, MA Kelu has moved away from studying previous painting systems and has shifted towards expressing his inner state and spiritual world. The "emptiness" in the paintings, his life experience over the past 40 years and his pursuit of a transcendent realm are embedded.

MA KELU
b.1954
马可鲁，1954年出生于上海，作为1970年代中国当代艺术团体“无名画会”的初创成员之一，马可鲁一直致力实践“艺术回归本体”的理念，旨在令其艺术创作达至完全自由的原则。他曾早年移居纽约并在斯古海根绘画雕塑学校获奖。直至2006年，马可鲁回到家乡，以更开阔的视野延续他的抽象主义风格。近期的《啊打》系列正突显他的创作理念，作品并没有特别意义须多作解释，也没有任何艺术标准，亦没有所谓东西方争议，画中留下的只有艺术家的个人主义。马可鲁说：“我将告诉您什么是荒野中的抽象。我这幅绘画是关于光，一缕炫目的光，令人目盲的光。”
近期个展包括：《回声》，元典美术馆，中国北京（2022）；《马可鲁：光景1972–1984》/《春之祭》，站台中国当代艺术机构，中国北京（2020）；《自述》，站台中国当代艺术机构 ，中国北京（2019）。他的作品被中国国家博物馆、广东美术馆、四川美术学院美术馆、元典美术馆、银川美术馆、中间美术馆、上海喜马拉雅美术馆、香港M+艺术博物馆、美国高盛银行、德山艺术空间等海内外众多国际公共机构及私人收藏。
MA Kelu, born in 1954 in Shanghai, is one of the founding members of the contemporary art group "No Name Painting Association" from the 1970s in China. MA has always been committed to the practice of the concept of "Returning Art to Ontology," aiming to achieve a principle of complete freedom in his artistic creation. In his early years, he relocated to New York and won an award at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture. It wasn't until 2006 that MA returned to his hometown, continuing his abstract style with a broader perspective. His recent series titled "Ada” underscores his creative philosophy. The works do not carry specific meanings that need extensive interpretation, nor do they adhere to any particular artistic standards. They also steer clear of any so-called East-West controversies; what remains in the paintings is only the artist's individualism. MA Kelu said, “I will tell you what abstract art is in the wilderness. This painting of mine is about light, a kind of blinding light.”
MA’s recent solo exhibitions include: "Echoes", Yuan Art Museum, Beijing, China (2022); “1972–1984 Time, Scenery, Light and Life” / “Sacrifice of the Spring”, Platform China Contemporary Art Institute, Beijing, China(2020); “SELF-STATEMENT. Ma Kelu”, Platform CHINA, 798 BeiJing, China(2019). His works are in the collections of numerous international public institutions and private collectors, including the National Museum of China, Guangdong Museum of Art, Art Museum of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Yuan Art Museum, Museum Of Contemporary Art of Yinchuan, Inside-Out Art Museum, Shanghai Himalayas Museum, Hong Kong M+ Museum, Goldman Sachs Bank, and Deshan Art Space, among others.

阿拉里奥画廊自1989年创立至今，分别于韩国天安、首尔和上海拥有其支点画廊。在过去的三十年间，阿拉里奥画廊始终致力于关注与推广亚洲与国际艺术家，丰富其艺术家名单，并长期培养支持年轻艺术家。其代理的五十余位艺术家来自韩、日、中、印和东南亚地区各国，涵盖自20世纪70年代至今的实验艺术先锋，创作门类包括视觉艺术、绘画、雕塑、影像以及装置等众多艺术类别，突出展现亚洲地区令人瞩目的社会历史文化。
自2005年入驻北京798艺术区起，阿拉里奥通过展示亚洲地区极具代表性的优秀艺术家，迅速成为中国当代艺术发展的重要枢纽。2014年8月，上海徐家汇衡山坊馆正式开馆，2017年7月迁址上海西岸，与来自中国和海外的艺术家一道为中国艺术舞台的多元性注入活力，继续作为中国当代艺术的先驱力量而存在。2022年，由日本艺术家名和晃平及其SANDWICH工作室倾力打造的上海新空间落址西岸国际传媒港，集当代先锋艺术、国际限量艺术衍生品、收藏级家具设计、潮流时装快闪与精品咖啡品牌为一体，致力于打造一个当代都市长效生活方式的策展式艺术商业复合空间。
