Founded in 2020, the School of Design at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University houses the departments of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Industrial Design, and Urban Planning and Design. Our mission is to become a leading interdisciplinary school of design, both domestically and internationally. We provide students with an environment that encourages research, innovation, and collaboration, enabling them to integrate knowledge across disciplines and develop comprehensive skills in design thinking, technology, and project management. Our curricula and achievements in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Industrial Design are highly recognized by international professional bodies, ensuring our graduates possess the global-level expertise and professional excellence needed to succeed worldwide.
Guided by a forward-looking educational philosophy, the School of Design focuses on advancing sustainable human development goals and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, digital virtual technology, and new materials. We have established numerous world-class research institutes, centers, and laboratories, bringing together interdisciplinary teams of academics and industry partners. These teams collaborate on both theoretical and practical projects, driving research innovation and leading educational development, continually fueling our postgraduate programs with cutting-edge insights. 本专业致力于培养面向未来、为中西方文化搭建桥梁的建筑师，他们是具有跨文化意识、社会责任感、创造力、批判性思维、专业能力和专业态度的国际化人才。本专业按英国皇家建筑师学会（RIBA）规定的学习计划制定授课内容。在英国，成为一名专业注册建筑师需要完成三个阶段的正式学习，从本专业顺利毕业的学生将拥有RIBA第二阶段的认证。
The Master of Architectural Design educates the next generation of forward-looking global architects who have the necessary cross-cultural awareness, social and environmental responsibility, creative and critical capability, technical competence and professional attitude to enable ongoing and future transformations in the globalised building environment.

国际建筑专业实践硕士
MSc International Professional Practice in Architecture
该国际建筑专业实践硕士 (MIPP) 旨在为从事建筑、设计和建筑环境的从业者和毕业生提供研究生层面的教育，从而获得职业发展和综合技能的提升。该硕士项目培养内容包括一系列建筑相关的专业、管理和实践技能，为希望拓展专业素养和人际交往能力、担任领导角色、从事创业活动或发展国际当代实践知识的建筑从业者提供全面丰富的深造机会。该专业由设计学院主导，其中部分课程将由设计学院、西浦国际商学院 (IBSS) 和人文社科学院联合授课。
This programme will be allowing architectural practitioners to develop professional and inter-personal skills, take increased leadership roles, engage in entrepreneurial activities, and develop their knowledge in International contemporary practice. The programme will be facilitated by the Design School and other Schools and Departments, including International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) and School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Bringing a diverse selection of modules, the programme aims to provide a unique experience tailored for individual educational needs.

土木工程硕士
MSc Civil Engineering
土木工程硕士项目包括了建筑环境领域最主要的一些非常现代的工程设计要素。在硕士项目的学习过程中，学生不仅能够扩展知识面而且能够在工程结构、施工管理、土力工程和新型建筑材料方面更加深入的学习、掌握更加深厚的技能。本专业采用以研究为导向的研讨式教学方式，学生还有机会与团队一起完成指定项目或者独立完成技术课题。
The MSc Civil Engineering programme incorporates all of the contemporary key elements of engineering design in the built environment. During the programme, you will develop a high level of knowledge and skills in the fields of structural engineering, construction management, geotechnical engineering and innovative construction materials. The MSc Civil Engineering programme embraces research-led teaching, where the students are actively engaged by accomplishing technical tasks, either in the form of group work or individual projects.

The MSc Construction Management meets this need with an interdisciplinary programme focused on the management of construction engineering projects. It covers advanced knowledge of management, economics, information engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, and technologies.

You will learn to consider the interplay between spatial design and social, economic, environmental and political issues evident in a range of urban settings.
