和Kane一起做社区花园第二期——生态堆肥

Kane Lindsay来自于英格兰。是西交利物浦大学的国际学生，拥有阿布扎比MBZUAI的计算机视觉硕士学位和利物浦大学的计算机科学学士学位。Kane 非常喜欢中国文化，目前在西交利物浦大学学习中文。

Kane 十多年来一直是园艺和花园爱好者。去年夏天，他在世界著名的英国皇家植物园-邱园完成了科学实习。

Kane Lindsay is a British international student at XJTLU with an MSc in Computer Vision from MBZUAI, Abu Dhabi and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool. Kane likes Chinese Culture very much and is studying Chinese at XJTLU. 

Kane has been a horticulture hobbyist and gardening enthusiast for over a decade. Last summer he completed a science internship at the world wel-known Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew Garden.

大家好，我是Will。堆肥很有趣也很有意义，我会宣传并帮助家庭花园，校园，社区花园等进行堆肥，让更多的绿色废弃物进入自然的循环。我很开心生态堆肥以不同的形式在不同的空间里让大家重新认识，上海的四叶草堂和武汉唐蔡社区花园让我看到城市中人与自然的和谐。

冬季来临，又是一个四季的循环，在落日花园，我将以堆肥的方式，带领大家从不同的角度看待自然的循环，然后思考我们应该在城市生活中扮演什么样的角色，去创造一个更加绿色的世界。

Hello everyone, I am Will. Composting is very interesting and meaningful. I will promote and help family gardens, campuses, community gardens, etc. to compost, so that more green waste can enter the natural cycle. I am very happy to see ecological compost in different forms and spaces, allowing everyone to rediscover it. The Clove Education School in Shanghai and the Tangcai Community Garden in Wuhan have shown me the harmony between people and nature in the city.

Winter is coming, and it's another cycle of the four seasons. In Sunset Garden, I will use compost to lead everyone to view the natural cycle from different perspectives, and then see what role we should play in urban life to create a greener world.

碧奥兰1974年成立于芬兰西部埃乌拉EURA小镇，成立初衷为解决养鸡场的大量鸡粪造成的环境问题，创造性的将鸡粪进行腐熟发酵处理转变为可用于农业和园艺等的有机肥料。此后秉承可持续发展的理念，一直致力于解决人类日常生活对环境造成的负担。

除了专业堆肥箱，碧奥兰还发明了“Biolan无水厕所”。这是一种生态卫生解决方案，可满足可持续废物管理的需求，特别是在水资源稀缺或传统污水系统不可行的地区。

Biolan was founded in 1974 in the small town of EURA in western Finland, with the original intention of solving the environmental problems caused by the large amount of chicken manure in chicken farms. It creatively decomposed and fermented chicken manure into organic fertilizers that can be used in agriculture and horticulture. Since then, adhering to the concept of sustainable development, we have been committed to solving the burden of human daily life on the environment.

In additon to compost bins, Biolan also invented "Biolan Waterless Toilet". It is a type of ecological sanitation solution that addresses the need for sustainable waste management, particularly in areas where water resources are scarce or where conventional sewage systems are not feasible.

自2023年春季以来，Biolan积极支持西交利物浦大学社区花园活动，包括开放日、国际论坛和当地社区教育。 

2023年11月，芬兰Biolan的Exacutive参观了设计学院公共花园研究实验室和工业设计系，并开始进一步合作。 

2024年，由碧奥兰赞助的，由西交利物浦大学工业设计系研究生团队及导师Vicente Esteban副教授设计的创新型无水蹲厕在全球竞赛唐•诺曼设计奖（Don Norman Design Award）中入围了决赛。

Since 2023 Spring, Biolan has actively supported XJTLU Community Garden activities, including the Open Day, international forum, and education in local community. 

In 2023 Nov, the Exacutive of Biolan in Finland visited Design School Communtiy Garden Research Lab and Industrial Design Department and started further collaboration. 

In 2024, the project sponsored by Biolan, an innovative waterless squatting toilet, designed by a team of masters students and their supervisor Vicente Esteban, an associate professor from the Department of Industrial Design, has been awarded as a project finalist in the global competition of Don Norman Design Award.
