南無本師釋迦牟尼佛
善知識,
Good and Wise Friends,
凡夫即佛,
ordinary people are
themselves Buddhas,
煩惱即菩提。
and affliction itself is bodhi.
前念迷即凡夫,
In one past moment of confused thought
you are just an ordinary person.
後念悟即佛。
If the very next thought is
awakened,you are a Buddha.
前念著境即煩惱,
Previous thoughts clinging to
sensory states are afflictions;
後念離境即菩提。
and succeeding thoughts
unattached to states is bodhi.
善知識,
Good and Wise Friends,
摩訶般若波羅蜜,最尊最上最第一,
Maha-prajnaparamita
is the most honored,
the most supreme, the foremost.
無住無往亦無來,
It does not dwell,
it does not come or go.
三世諸佛從中出。
All Buddhas of the past, present,
and future emerge from this.
當用大智慧,
You should use this great wisdom
打破五蘊煩惱塵勞。
to see through the defiling afflictions
of the five skandhas.
如此修行,
Those who cultivate in this way
定成佛道,
are certain to realize
the awakening of the Buddha,
變三毒為戒定慧。
transforming the three poisons into
morality, contemplative calm,
and insight.
善知識,
Good and Wise Friends,
我此法門,從一般若生八萬四千智慧。
in this teaching of ours 84,000 wisdoms
flow from this one Prajna.
何以故?
Why?
為世人有八萬四千塵勞。
Because people have
84,000 kinds of affliction.
若無塵勞,
Free of defiling affliction,
智慧常現,
wisdom constantly and
naturally manifests,
不離自性。
as it is inseparable from
one's inherent nature.
悟此法者,即是無念,
Those who understand
this teaching know
it is not intellectual thinking;
無憶無著,
not remembering or recalling to mind;
is free of any grasping or clinging;
不起誑妄。
and is not in the least false or deceptive.
用自真如性,以智慧觀照,
Use your own true nature and
[its inherent] wisdom to contemplate
於一切法不取不捨,
and illuminate all dharmas
without grasping or rejecting them.
即是見性成佛道。
Just this is seeing one's essential nature
and realizing Buddhahood.
願以此功德, 普及於一切,
我等與眾生,皆共成佛道。
