Traditionally Finnish holiday estate consists of a main building and additional smaller buildings for different purposes: sauna, summer kitchen, storage space and summer rooms for guests. Holiday house H gathers all the functions under one roof to minimize both the building footprint and the impact on nature.
传统上，芬兰度假庄园由主楼和其他用于不同用途的较小建筑组成：桑拿浴室、夏季厨房、储藏室和供客人使用的夏季房间。度假屋 H 将所有功能集中在一个屋顶下，以最大限度地减少建筑占地面积和对自然的影响。
The design is a play on the archetypal pitched roof barn: covered outdoor spaces are created by carving them from the shape. The covered terraces each have a separate function. The eastern terrace marks the main entrance and is oriented towards the morning sun. Southwestern terrace shields the main living space from overheating and extends the interior spaces in summer both as a sun deck and as an outdoor kitchen. The smallest northwestern terrace is the cooling off space for sauna and is oriented towards the sunset.
该设计是对典型的倾斜屋顶谷仓的一种演绎：有盖的室外空间是通过从形状上雕刻出来的。每个带顶棚的露台都有单独的功能。东部露台是主入口，面向早晨的阳光。西南露台保护主要居住空间免于过热，并在夏季扩展室内空间，既可作为阳光甲板，又可作为室外厨房。西北最小的露台是桑拿房的降温空间，面向日落。
The main living space consisting of kitchen, dining and living room is oriented towards both daylight and views to the lake. The more private areas consisting of sleeping and bathing spaces are clearly separated from the main living space and are oriented towards the forest for shade. The summer rooms are accessible from terrace and can be left unheated during winter to save energy.
主要生活空间包括厨房、餐厅和客厅，面向日光和湖景。由睡眠和沐浴空间组成的更私密的区域与主要生活空间明显分开，并面向森林以遮荫。夏季客房可从露台进入，冬季可不供暖以节省能源。
The building is a traditional balloon frame with wood fiber insulation and spruce cladding. The cladding will weather naturally to fade the building into the forest when viewed from the lake. Indoors the floor and the ceiling are of spruce and the walls are mainly of pine plywood. The natural materials form a calm whole that is clearly distinguished from the daily life in the city.
该建筑是一个传统的气球框架，采用木纤维隔热层和云杉覆层。从湖边观看时，覆层会自然风化，建筑物会消失在森林中。室内的地板和天花板是云杉的，墙壁主要是松木胶合板的。天然材料形成一个平静的整体，与城市的日常生活明显不同。
