Russian strike hits Metinvest’s GOK, output unaffected
Metinvest公司表示，一枚俄罗斯导弹在周一击中Metinvest旗下位于Kryvyi Rih的Northern GOK公司的一座行政大楼，造成多人伤亡。
A Russian missile hit on Monday one of the administrative buildings of Northern GOK in Kryvyi Rih, part of Metinvest, which led to numerous casualties, the company says.
据初步估计，至少有10人死亡，30人受伤。
At least ten people were killed and 30 were injured, by preliminary estimates.

The attack did not affect iron ore production at the facility, Metinvest’s spokesperson tellsKallanish.

According to Ryzhenkov, Russia is openly targeting Ukrainian enterprises that sustain cities, as well as peaceful residents and children.
数据显示，1-5月，Northern GOK生产了322万吨精矿，同比增长73%；173万吨球团，同比增长54%。该公司将铁矿石球团运往欧洲国家，将精矿运往中国。
In January-May, Northern GOK produced 3.22 million tonnes of ore concentrate, up by 73% on-year, and 1.73mt of pellet, up 54%, according to its data. The company ships iron ore pellet to European countries and ore concentrate to China.

Earlier, Metinvest announced it will focus on equipment repairs and mining development in 2024-2025 (see Kallanish passim). The group’s enterprises are currently operating at 65-70% of capacity.
第一季度，该集团粗钢产量为46.9万吨，环比下降5%。铁水产量下降5%至40.3万吨。与2023年第一季度相比，Metinvest的粗钢产量减少4%，生铁产量减少10%。
In the first quarter, the group decreased production of crude steel by 5% quarter-on-quarter to 469,000t.Hot metal output fell 5% to 403,000t. Compared to Q1 2023, Metinvest reduced crude steel output by 4% and pig iron by 10%.
