J-MED率团参加2024 ESSO年会

2024102日至4日,J-MED(嘉会医学研究和教育集团)作为欧洲肿瘤外科学会(ESSO)的中国官方合作伙伴,应邀前往比利时安特卫普参加2024 ESSO年会。此次ESSO年会吸引了来自世界76个国家和地区的1011名参与者,显示出肿瘤外科学在当代医学中的全球影响力和重要性。

2024 ESSO年会的学术内容丰富多彩,突出展示了肿瘤外科学最新的研究进展。来自中国顶尖医学院校不同领域的三位专家在本次年会上分享了重要的研究成果。
复旦大学附属肿瘤医院结直肠癌中心李心翔教授发表了关于直肠癌新辅助治疗的最新研究,强调了该领域的最新进展与挑战; 上海交通大学附属仁济医院刘颖斌教授在主会场分享了关于胆道癌从科学研究到临床转化研究的成果,全方位展示了该团队在胆道肿瘤研究领域术式创新,基础研究优势,临床转化的成功案例,引起与会者广泛讨论;上海嘉会国际医院大外科及肿瘤外科主任李俊教授重点讨论了肝癌治疗的最新进展。

这些学术报告不仅体现了中国肿瘤外科临床研究的最近进展,同时也彰显了中国外科医生的科研实力,促进了国际间的学术合作与交流。

在ESSO年会期间,J-MED总经理李沛博士、李俊教授,与阿布扎比克利夫兰诊所Tibor Kovacs教授和ESSO现任主席荷兰马斯特里赫特大学医学中心Geerard Beets教授带领的核心团队就学会与中国伙伴的合作内容及形式,进行了深入讨论。在乳腺癌、结直肠癌及肝胰胆道癌领域的医生继续教育和诊疗能力提升以及发展国际间临床研究平台等方面,双方都提出了建设性极强的合作方案。这些讨论了立足多个肿瘤专业领域,整合国内外领先学科资源及最新研究进展,最终将提高患者生存获益,推动肿瘤外科学发展。

From October 2nd to 4th, 2024, J-Med (Jiahui Medical Research and Education), a prominent medical publication and platform for healthcare advancements, joined forces with the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) as a partner for their annual congress held in Antwerp, Belgium. 


This prestigious gathering attracted an impressive audience of 1011 participants from 76 countries, showcasing the global reach and importance of surgical oncology in contemporary medicine.


Scientific Presentations

The congress featured a robust scientific program that highlighted the latest research and developments in surgical oncology. 


Notably, three esteemed professors from China's leading medical institutions made significant contributions to the proceedings. Professor Xinxiang Li, representing Shanghai Cancer Hospital of Fudan University, presented groundbreaking work on the treatment of rectal cancer, underscoring the latest advancements in organ preservation and challenges in this field. Similarly, Professor Yingbin Liu from Renji Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University shared insights into biliary cancer research and clinical development while Professor Jun Li from Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital discussed the recent progress in liver cancer treatment by robotic assistant surgery. 


These presentations not only showcased China's medical prowess but also fostered international collaboration and knowledge exchange.

A highlight of J-Med's participation was the discussion held between Dr. Paula Li, the Director of J-Med, and a select group of medical experts, including Professor Jun Li (Chief of Surgery and Surgical Oncology at Jiahui International Hospital) and Professor Tibor Kovacs (Honorary Chief of Breast Institute in Jiahui International Hospital). 


This dialogue focused on potential future collaborations with ESSO's core team, particularly in the areas of breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and hepatopancreaticobiliary cancer treatment. The discussions emphasized the importance of combining international expertise and resources to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of surgical oncology.
