Trade-off，意思是“the act of balancing two things that you need or want but which are opposed to each other（在需要而又相互对立的两者间的）权衡，协调”，常用搭配~(between sth and sth)，例如：
eg:Nonetheless, many who live in rich countries confidently declare that thistrade-off is not in the interest of the poor.尽管如此，许多生活在富裕国家的人依然会自信地宣称这种取舍是不利于穷人的。
eg:computer scientists have made a lot of progress understanding the explore/exploittrade-off, and their results offer some surprising insights.计算机科学家在理解探索与利用的权衡上面取得了很大的进展，而且他们的研究给出了 一些让人惊讶的洞察。
